taking a screen grab of this for when the photos of people properly futzing this figure come out and it looks incredible.

This is not the gotcha you think it is. Hell, if this ends up looking incredible I will be very, very happy considering what I paid for this.

As it is, based on what was shown by Inart themselves, I'm disappointed.

Screengrab this too, why don't you?

These things are emotive as well as intellectual and financial - it makes perfect sense that people have an emotional reaction to seeing the pics, and it makes even MORE sense for people who have spent even more having an even more emotional reaction.
We pay, lets be honest with ourselves, insane amounts of money on dolls from movies - not because there is a logical reason for doing so, but because we love those movies those characters and the art and design of them and the figures themselves.
So having an emotive response is itself perfectly logical.
So even if I dont always agree with the blind panic or praise heaped onto any new release, I get it because sometimes I feel it myself, we all do - because we are all inherently passionate people, otherwise we wouldn't be in this hobby let alone on a forum dedicated to it.
Both the praise and the panic are perfectly appropriate responses and we all just need to accept that and not take other people's opinions as personal affronts but just recognize it as the same passion in ourselves.

I was researching on the nose because I know the sculpt is not perfect, this angle for sure seems like they slimmed it down, and it makes JND and HT more accurate.

But! Inarts nose bridge is also accurate, this is a very specific lighting photo but they strongly resemble each other. His nose resembles an older version of him so looking at the younger days will lead to disappointment. (His nose looked slightly wider) Because of that, inarts is also correct. 👍 A little peace of mind.

Now they also changed the lips for the final from last event. He has a more specific expression, his mouth is more firm than the relaxed one they did last time. It is still accurate they just referenced another scene.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Little easier to see proportions with the figure isolated from the background. I mean it's nothing definitive, because lens, angle, camera settings affect so much. But fun to analyze.

Best thing I see here is that InArt painted the bat ears on the symbol correctly. Many people don't seem to realize the chest symbol does have ears--they're the right next to the orange triangles. Hot Toys messed this up and painted the ears orange, too, effectively eliminating them.

Don't be a coward and talk out of both sides of your mouth. Your making post after post saying its not living up to the hype, it doesn't look good, etc.

People say- wait until its properly futzed and the blogger photos come out.

You respond- 'how much better do you think its going to look? sucks i paid for this'

You have drawn your line in the sand saying its not living up to the hype and its not going to.

So when it does come out, and the blogger photos look good, you would be wrong. It is inevitable.

Cope harder, simp.

One can behave in a cowardly manner in an online discussion by - for example- having their opinion challenged and then flip-flopping/backtracking to sit on the fence, or by resorting to childish name-calling in place of defending their position.

Just hypothetical examples of course…

What?

So, one can’t say that the pictures shown absolutely suck?

One can’t say that spending over 1K on this may end up being a mistake?

If it does look better, then great?

What exactly is getting you all so offended? I swear, I thought the HT simps were bad.

Can everyone take a chill pill please. I just want to hear about the figure and everyone needs to calm down till we get an actual review of it too.

Honestly I reckon the sculpt will be the same one we saw before the final production photos released. I reckon it’s all just bad lighting and angles.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but stop with the name calling fellas

It’s in the minority here that think the unmasked portrait “sucks.”

We accept all criticism here, you can say it’s the worst release ever and we can’t change your mind. Based on the raw, bad angled, and unfutzed hair photos many including yourself can say it’s “bad.” (Just like FB comments so it’s normal)

That is completely valid, but to judge quickly and say it’s a waste of 1k seems like you want them to fail knowing you want the next photos to be great.

It’s almost as if you’re a fan of a sports team, and they lost game one of the finals, you say “Aww this team is terrible, I want a refund on my tickets”, knowing next game they might surprise you. For someone who wants a team to succeed, you wouldn’t say that in the first place.

You think it’s a waste of ticket money, but also want them to win the next game. I don’t understand.

As what @darthmeda said let’s all just stop the attacking, unless you’re here intentionally to name call, Reddit is always an option.
