I don’t understand how half of these companies stay solvent. I’m guessing it’s super cheap labor and high margins, but it never seems like a unit run would be enough to support the endeavor unless you had enough momentum with a broad and popular line of products. Yet, we have companies that crank these out. If Kamen was released, are you comfortable that the concern about SooSoo’s ongoing ops follows? I would be seriously dismayed to get teased by this and not have it made. But I guess that’s the rhythm of the hobby.

C’mon, SooSoo… I really want this one. C’mon. You got this.

I'm guessing that many of these smaller brands are run by the factory owners, or friends, so they get a 'discount'. Companies like Sideshow, Hot Toys, Big Chief (RIP), Mondo, etc. pay the factories to make these figures.

I's similar to ordering a meal at a restaurant compared to cooking the meal yourself. When you order food at a restaurant, you're paying for the raw materials for your food, and all the overhead on top of that, the rent for the building, staff wages, etc. Cooking it yourself, you only pay for the raw materials .Even if you work at the restaurant, you get an 'employee discount'.

Also, licensing adds at least 10% to the cost, if not more. So, there's significant cost savings to being a bootleg company.

Thank you for the update on this figure. So the release may still happen, it does however put you off placing an order with so much uncertainty. Can you recommend a retailer?

It'll most certainly happen, SooSoo are just slow working through their "to do" list.

Can you recommend a retailer?

I consider Giantoy as the next or equal best to Kit, and they happened to reopen the pre-order again a little while back:

You have to log in to your account to see the listing.

Thank you my friend.

Not showing at Giantoy.
Yeh for some reason for me, even when I'm logged in (which you apparently need to be), it gives a message "This content is protected, but it doesn’t look like you have access. If you feel this is a mistake, please contact the store owner." at the top and that's it

Yes, I have now sent a message....testing the system.

Weird.

When I'm signed in I can find it straight away by searching "SST045".

I'm hoping this is their next release after they said Moon Knight is coming out soon.

Does anyone keep track of when SooSoo things are announced and come out to know if they keep the order of releases or if they get shuffled around indifferent to their original announcement?

Seems like it's just based on whatever they decide to focus on. The Wingman (Jason Todd Robin) is the longest wait I've ever had at about 1 year, 10 months. Usually, from preorder to delivery of their product is 8-9 months. Gentlemoon is about to hit 10 months since preorder.
