Forum threads and comments in Facebook Groups often feel like exercises in thinking out loud. That said, it has been encouraging to see companies like SooSoo, ToysEra, Mars, Present Toys and PlayToy popping up in the last few years to take on lines and b-tier and c-tier characters that have been completely ignored by Hot Toys, so who knows where and how much they’re listening. Every once in a while I’ll stumble upon an old list from a few years ago and realize that several characters have since been produced, or that a company is tackling a line like Star Trek (Exo-6), ‘66 Batman (Mars) or comic Marvel and/or DC (SooSoo, Hono, Present Toys).

Off the top of my head, I suppose my current list would be:
