Which is kind of making my point. Why not just do a full P2 Paul figure at that point? If it’s $300+ total per you Ramatuelle, you’re seriously out of an official P2 Paul release because of $150?

Because a part 2 Paul is not going to happen now: and its especially not gonna happen while the preorder period for part 1 is still open.

Inart is not going to create two figures and more work for themselves at the same time. Plenty of ppl are already saying that they POed part 1, and thats what they ordered and thats what they expect to have delivered. They dont want this release changed. Fair enough.

why are you so sure they won't do a part 2?
My view is not that they won’t ever make part 2 Paul but they absolutely will not even announce the possibility that part 2 is possible at least until the PO window for this figure has closed- and maybe not even until after this one releases since it has the potential to hurt sales here.

Until InArt double dips, I'm not just going to assume/hope they will. I'll continue operating under the assumption that we'll get one-off releases until there's evidence to the contrary. It's far easier to plan a collection when you plan around what is, not what might be.

The sculpted hair admittedly looks really good; the color of the prototype was just way off, both hurting the likeness and being too dark to appreciate the detail. This is a nicer look at it.

That said, I still went with the rooted personally. If I'm paying InArt prices, I want the full experience, y'know?
Agreed my one regret about ordering this figure is going with the sculpted rather than rooted.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the sculpted version is going to look fantastic and I’m sure that I will be happy when it, arrives. But as a guy who will soon have two kids in college I was trying to be minimally mindful of my spending (😂) and went with the rooted as it was a little more than $100 cheaper.

But after looking at a bunch of pictures last night, I simply can’t deny that the rooted version is on another level of realism altogether and IMHO more than $100 more impressive than the sculpted version.

Im not crapping on the sculpted by any means (why would I) but the rooted is the superior version.

Crazy how INART didn’t see this coming, that people would obviously prefer end up preferring the Dune 2 version.

In my experience, what I’ve found is that if these companies dangle whatever it is in front of us consumers, they’ll want it regardless. Once you put that up for PO and money is involved, it’s too late to make changes cause then people are like “but that’s now what I paid for!” When ideally, I think most wouldn’t mind if INART simply came out and said “due to feedback, we will be updating our Paul to a Dune 2 Paul.”

Yeah I agree, it seems that most people would probably prefer the Part 2 Paul and I understand the appeal. For me personally, I prefer my figures to look cleaner/less weathered so I prefer the Part 1 look.

I went against my natural inclinations by getting the upgraded suit version of Green Goblin, even though his suit is much more distressed than the “regular” version I found that the upgraded suit had a lot more visual interest so I choose that and am very happy I did. But as far as the rest of my collection is concerned I never choose “battle damaged” versions.

That said, I am certain if InArt doesn’t produce a Part 2 Paul that many people in this forum will put their modifying skills to work and weather this figure to their own satisfaction.

Im busy wondering what figure #2 will be. My money is on Feyd or Chani. Chani seems less popular though. The end of 2 really pissed a lot of ppl off who wanted an exact duplicate of book 1's original ending. Complaining about Zendayas acting skills, her appearance, the list of complaints are endless. We'll see what Inart decides to do regarding popularity.

For me, that’s just the look. Not trying to get into SPOILERS, but “Battle damaged” would be how he looks at the end of the film.

Chani. For me (as the arbitrator 😉), I say Chani. She was easily the heart and soul of the film for me and arguably, the second main character. Paul and Chani are a natural pairing and from a narrative/relevance perspective, it makes the most sense for me.

What are people saying about her appearance? What is wrong with her acting? I mean yeah maybe she is not as strong as Bardem, Brolin, and Skarsgard (they are amazing) but she holds her own and is convincing in her role IMO.

Yeah I saw Part 2 and you are right, his appearance was “battle damaged” or “well worn” for sure …don’t think we are spoiling anything the trailers don’t provide.

Its being said that she can only play one character, and she got away with that in Spider-Man but here its a lot more noticable.

Much low and highkey racism about her looks. Admittedly she does have a round face which scraped-back hair accentuates.

Unattractive feminist anger, how dare she. Not meek enough.

Ranting about polygamous societies, as if anyone posting there has been raised in one. Right.

You know, the Internet.
