I'm getting nervous again about how Odo might turn out. After all the fuss about getting his uniform colors just right, it appears from Kira that the factory may end up doing something completely different anyway.

I remember seeing a photo of Odo in his plastic trays, ready to roll. Not sure if that was final or not, but his colors looked fine.

We shall see!

It's wild to me that they let the guy who sculpted Janeway do yet another female Trek character. In fact, my hot take is that I think Janeway is quite possibly the worst 1/6 sculpt I've ever seen in hand in 8 years of collecting. It reminds me of an episode of Married with Children, where Kelly realizes that every time she learns something new, she forgets something else really simple, like how to work a microwave, because there's just only so much room in her brain. So every time we get a clear A/A+ sculpt like Locutus or Admiral Kirk we have to make up for it with a number of C/D level sculpts on other figures because it seems like they just don't have the capacity/time to give each figure the same amount of love and attention.

EXO-6 stuff is really unique, in my opinion, in that the vast majority of complaints and criticism comes from people who are actually invested in the line and buying the figures. There's so much other stuff being made where a lot of the complaints come from those who don't own the piece and/or have no intention of purchasing it. It just seems so weird that you would purposefully ignore and alienate the people who are putting their money where their mouths are and actually purchasing your products.

I'll probably pick Kira up even though I think it looks like the most 6/10 figure that could ever be a 6/10 figure. But I want the DS9 line and it's clear you are going to pay in

But I want the DS9 line and it's clear you are going to pay in the aftermarket if you skip on any of characters that get made. It's the Blitzway Winston Zeddemore effect, where everyone agreed that was the weakest looking figure and also least essential character of the set, but he quickly became impossible to find in the aftermarket for anything but a king's ransom.

I think Janeway's far from the worst. Although I don't have too many in hand to compare it to, I think it's more the paint that let's her down more than the sculpt. At least she actually has an expression on her face, you know?

I'm anxiously awaiting Kira to see how she stacks up. I think, like Qui Gon Fishing said, its going to have a lot to do with the lighting.

I’m sitting through season 6 of DS9. Am I missing something, Kira’s uniform on the exo-6 figure is the same design as what she wears in season 6/during war time. Colors aside, it is correct….

Sculpt has some issues, but I think there is a fine line with objective critique and impassioned criticism.

Um I'm not sure what Season 6 you're watching. There's a clear difference in the shoulders and collars, among other things.

Don't feel bad. I watched it first-run, and I didn't realize her uniform had changed till the DVDs came out.
Not at all, but what he should feel bad about was that crack about impassioned criticism. He shouldn't be worrying about what other people have to say or why they have to say it just because it triggers him for no reason. Worry about what you're seeing on your old TV first.

That escalated quickly….

Good thing I’m blind, I just went ahead and ordered it!

I too ordered it. It's got a few issues but it's literally the best figure of Kira in the world soooo....
I might have skipped her but I really want Miles and Worf and Jadzia and st that point you have to get the cast.

I'm still not crazy about the cross hatching on the arms. Too spaced out and weird looking. Probably would have been better off simply coloring the sleeves a darker burgundy.

So he’s saying the left one is the correct color had you seen the costume in person on set. I don’t know much about Trek uniforms, can someone confirm this is the case?
We have pics of the screen used costume that aren't too far off from what we saw on screen. It may be hard to pinpoint the exact color but it it is clearly not a blinding, super intense hot pink. Appears to be more of a salmon color.
