1/6 Hot Toys -TMS127- Ahsoka series: Mauldalorian (Super Commando)

Im mildly interested in this. $265 is way too high of a bar to cross.

I would pay that for Saxon, Pre Vizla or perhaps Fenn Rau. For a background figure with no headsculpt its just way too high for my taste.

I have no CW Maul, will use Solo Maul instead, fits the role I guess..

Thank the maker I'm in the process of building another display case. I mean, I love this just for the TCW aspect and now I really want to dedicate a shelf to that sort of display and give Maul a Darksaber and have some of these around. While it really is no big deal, I wish they just stuck it under TCW banner... especially if in the promos you're going to try to promote and sell it as such

Cool figure, but easy pass for me. I don't collect rando Mandos or troopers.

I can't get over how inaccurate this is for the sake of ease to recycle the suit and armor system of the tv mandos

They didn’t even try to make it similar to the one from the show.

I generally will always prefer show accurate to custom ones but for this one time, I actually do prefer the Hot Toys version. Silver shoulder and gauntlets would’ve looked too plain on display. I like the usage of more red for this guy.

Only thing I prefer better from that screen shot Mauldalorians design is the horn layout. I think that looks better without the front horn. But that’s it.

After some searching I also like the screen used helmet better, it translated pretty well to live action. HT did their own take and not bothered looking at source material for whatever reason, maybe to match Maul’s horns. I’m out unless it’s updated before release.

the figure must be based on a different costume that didn't get featured in the final cut. the suit featured in the episode is very different as has been pointed out. thing is, these figures go into development before the shows air so HT wouldn't know that it would get cut. They definitely should either revise the figure to match the suit that features in the show or make 2 versions so that people can get the version that was featured on screen

At this point, the on-screen version may as well just be a Summer Showcase/Sideshow Con exclusive. Simple enough repaint. Plus with the amount of people saying how boring another Mando repaint always is, it’s an easy enough figure to throw in as one of their Con EX figures. Especially since they wouldn’t have to worry about making a full run.
