Any word if Sideshow will EVER ship out The Batman standard edition? I can't recall a figure that was in people's hands, but so delayed if you purchased through Sideshow. Getting more agitated by the day over here... :mad:

It says on Sideshow's website it's expected to start shipping out this month [ Awesome avatar by the way....... :) ]

I feel the same with the deluxe. I'm pretty upset they took this long. Finally know what some feel like being last in the batches with SS. This puts a sour taste in my mouth now I'll probably start ordering with Kit moving forward.
 
Have they charged y'all and just not shipped the figure yet? If so, then I can understand being upset about not getting a shipped noticed Otherwise, I guess I just don't get the being upset about waiting just b/c it's been released overseas already.

We used to have to wait so much longer for SS to get figures in than we do now, so I guess that's part of why stuff like this doesn't bother me. Having to wait a little longer on a figure that I actually want isn't going to make me want it any less.

Not saying one is right or wrong, I just don't really understand the anger and find it interesting when folks do get angry about waiting a little longer on something they were already waiting a year +/- on anyway.

Paid mine in full because they charged me final balance a month before it's intended release. So that's why it's upsetting because I already paid except shipping and taxes. And they contradict themselves as I've asked before and they mentioned those who fully paid usually receives it first and those who have to finish paying their payments are the one's who usually have to wait longer.

Like I said, that's understandable if you've already paid. I'd be annoyed as well.

At the end of the day, though, nothing they can really do if the item didn't arrive by the expected date or are being held up at the docks for some reason. They charged you based on the information they had at the time, but who knows what happened between then and the expected arrival date. Sometimes things just happen that are out of anyone's control. The only real thing to do is chat with CS to see if you can get a full refund including your NRD due to the delay and order at one of the reliable HK sites if you need it right now. It'll probably cost you more, but you'll have your figure.

I have heard that if you pay off your balance manually instead of letting them charge you automatically through their system, it can bump you out of any sort of order they may have had. Not saying that's what you did, just a general note for anyone who might've done that.

Yeah sadly what can you really do. I'm sure it will be ready by the end of the week and ship next. But it definitely is one of those situations that annoys any collector as it's definitely something I want. I probably wouldn't have a problem paying him off later if I had one more balance to pay.

The Bat signal arrived yesterday but my standard Bat has not shipped yet, guess I'll leave it boxed up for now :-(

Yeah, it’s pretty ridiculous. It’s been over two years now, hasn’t it? I’ve actually lost track at this point. But I get the delay notices about every month.

I remember the "good" old days, waiting 3 to 6 months after figures released in China for sideshow to get them. I don't miss those days, but this figure seems to be taking its time for some people.

I’ve been charged all except the last payment as that one gets pushed back automatically, each time the release gets pushed back.

In general, I’m pretty okay with a wait of 9 to 12 months for a Hot Toys figure. I know they’re solicited way in advance of the release. But this one has just gone on and on.

I don’t blame Sideshow because they’re at Hot Toys mercy and they can’t ship what they don’t have.

Ultimately, I’ll wait however long I have to. I’m not beside myself with rage over it or anything, it’s more annoyance.
