EXO-6 Star Trek “Deep Space Nine” Figures

Unboxed her in the car! Couldn’t wait to get home! This is top tier EXO-6. Stoked!

As I was afraid of, that hot pink still looks very hot pink. Sculpt looks a bit better though.

Ok, here ya go. I adjusted her uniform color a bit, but there is ZERO Photoshop or editing tricks on that sculpt. Choose the most flattering angle and lighting for her face and we’ve really got something here!

I suspected some would be surprised on how she looks in hand, that’s a pretty solid Kira sculpt IMO. Seeing this instills optimism that Crusher and Tori will turn out at least as good as this, which I’d be happy with. For EXO-6, this level of refinement on a female character is a milestone.

What’s even more surprising is how a “quick and dirty” car picture looks better than those taken by a professional reviewer.

And that’s STILL the car photo in the composite with Quark! Still haven’t had time to take any proper photos, but yeah…a testament to how good she came out!

Unpopular opinion…. I think she looks great! She’s going to look TREMENDOUS posed with the rest of the crew. A little too pink, but it’s not jarring in less severe lighting.

Your picture gives a good look on the earring as well, I like the metallic finish, it doesn’t look cheap like in the PO pictures.

I’m REALLY curious to see Jadzia now.

I see Jadzia every day, but, yes…very interested in seeing her figure. Action Figure, that is. I already see the other figure, and it’s PERFECTION!

Happens woth just about every Exo6 figure. Everyone gets all torches and pitchforks when the pre order pics drop. Then when it’s in hand the people who actually buy the figure pretty much all say it looks much better in hand.

I think she looks pretty good from a sculpt/detailing point of view. Still not entirely convinced on the uniform colour and still not entirely sure why they went with dark brown for her hair when she never had that colour during seasons 1-3 when she was wearing that particular uniform.

It’s like some weird merging of season 7 face, late season 5 hair, and season 1-3 uniform.

I can’t QUITE get it to translate as well as I’d like on camera yet, but the more I look at Kira the more I’m blown away. Even the contrast between the darker sleeves and shoulders compared to tho body is enhanced greatly with a soft overhead and forward light, to the point where even my criticism of the uniform colors is greatly diminished.

She really looks sensational. I’ll try to capture what I’m seeing better tomorrow and/or over the weekend. But hear me now! If you missed the preorder, JUMP on the Immediate Purchase if you can! I think you’ll be happy you did!

I take it that some reviewers (no names specifically mentioned as I’ve seen a batch of lacklustre reviews honestly) that have the figure can’t be arsed to play around with certain angles or have proper conditions to make a worthwhile review.

Seems to be the norm with some reviewers. I saw one who basically took all the worst shots possible of inArt Gandalf. A figure most people hold up as the best 1/6 figure of 2024. He couldn’t be bothered to mess with the hair, beard, or clothes. Or pay attention to lighting and angles.

She showed up out of the blue today and she is beautiful in person - bring on more DS9 and Star Trek women!

Quark is ready to serve Kira a raktajino.

Man I'm not quite sure what to make of this figure in hand. The sculpt works rather well with the light hitting it straight on, but any kind of overhead lighting suddenly makes her face look old and droopy. The body proportions are fantastic but she also dwarfs every other female figure and stands too tall next to Sisko (when the top of her head barely reached his nose on screen). She's wearing the S1-3 uniform but the deeper reddish pink seems more consistent with later seasons. And the outfit is beautifully tailored except for the arms which are baggy and unflattering on her.

Ultimately I'd say this works well enough as a representation of Kira in the collection... but as a massive DS9 fan it also doesn't do her near enough justice in my view. And it's sadly going to have to be more of a background figure in my display.

It's so weird that Neelix gets modeled so clearly on a single moment in time (and seemingly a promo photo, no less), and yet Kira gets stuck being just the general idea of what Kira Nerys looked like, with elements pulled from completely different time periods.
