Also is that a magnetic stand?

I've got zero interest in Beetlejuice, but if they went magnetic for him they'd go magnetic for 1990 Pennywise as well.

Sideshow's new action feature.

Press the button on the base and watch your $400 toy collapse...

This prototype looks great! Final product will be another thing. Their cut-n-sew is great on recent releases like the Eastwood figures, but they still have a lot to prove on final paint apps and detailed production castings. They still lack that extra HD detailing we see from other companies in this space with the fine hair stranding, skin textures etc. coming through on the final sculpts.

I want this to be good and have Sideshow stepping into the this sort of new era of 1/6, I just have a bad feeling that they'll fumble.

Cautiously optimistic/excited about this. I hope it comes with a few more accessories than the first release which was super barebones, but I doubt it. If the final product goes well enough, it would be great to see them take another crack at Eric Draven/The Crow with rooted hair this time.

Wow was not expecting this, but the prototype has me cautiously excited!
The headsculpt actually looks great imo.
I really hope this turns out nice I’d love to pick it up!!

Prototype does look pretty awesome. But like others, the likely insane price and quality drop-off give me pause. However, if it's sub $300 I will consider it (it won't be that low).

I'm in depending price, considering it's really just a new sculpt everything else is reused and the going rate for that god awful version is steep.

I'm quite impressed the sculpt is actually pretty good just needs that hair fixing.

No faith in SS to be able to pull this off. I was hoping Mars Toys or somesuch would take a stab. :monkey2

The same body. Same inaccurate suit and boots. Same accessories. It's just a different head. Hopefully HT or Inarts makes a Beetlejuice 2 version. That will most likely look better.

See that’s something else I’m not sure of with this too. Now that the sequel is coming out I could half see another company releasing a version of the character.

Hot Toys are unpredictable. They could make one but it’s also not something they’d typically do. InArt? Maybe since it’s a WB film and they’ve been working with WB so far. Not sure if it would be in their wheelhouse though or if it’s a bit too obscure.

Is this figure based on the original movie or the new one?

There was a custom Lydia figure I passed on about a year ago that I regret not buying.

One of the factors that made me pass on Lydia was I did not have a Beetlejuice to pair with her - and I did not want to pay the high secondary prices for the SSC figure. Maybe we’ll get a 3rd party Lydia.

Ooh, did you keep the photo of the Lydia custom? I'd love to see it.

I'll probably pre-order this one just in case. I hope Neca makes one too.
