If one can look at it without the marketing spiel in your head and then judge it you may get a better picture. To me, the work done on all these figures is impressive, but, do any of them make me say "That's the best I've ever seen!", no.

I don't think anything can truly be the best. It's all from the point of view of whoever is looking at it. They might think it's the best, and so might others, but, if it isn't the best in YOUR opinion, never feel you have to change that in order to appease them.

I like to say things are probably the best, one of the best or among the best. All 3 Jokers may well be among the best, but, I can't say that one is THE best.

One of the best Ledger Joker figures I've seen recently is Dean Knight's custom. Check that out on YouTube and see what YOU think.....

Can something really be the best if it has an expiration date?

I did have the best Joker, until my skin flaked.

I did have the best Joker, until the purple jacket and green hair dyed my neck brown.

I did have the best Joker, until the make up cracked off.

I did have the best Joker, that is, until the plastic bits in the neck deteriorated and I’m left with a head that just flops around like a stiff fish.

I can see the auction and for sale titles now, JND KOJUN WORKS JOKER HEAD, EYE BALLS STILL WORK $190 FREE SHIPPING

Difabio, you realize Silicone isn’t a new collectible material right? It’s been done before by Cinemaquette/Toynami. They used to be the gold standard of collecting almost 2 decades ago. Haven’t seen or heard anyone complain about the silicone. They keep making statues, just not as many as before. Tech has improved since but I wouldn’t treat this so much like a guaranteed short shelf life. Also, by the time these could deteriorate, companies will have released a 10.0 and better materials and ‘best at the time’ will have released. We’d be foolish to think this is the last 1/6 Ledger we’ll get and these are the highest prices we’ll ever see.

Where’s all the negative posting about HT using silicone bodies for their seamless look?

All our 1/6 figures have a shelf life whether it’s due to poor materials or a superior version comes out down the road. It’s a constant chase of wanting the next ‘best’ version of a figure. The thread really is beating a dead horse but that’s Ledger 1/6 Joker for you lol. The ‘perfect’ Ledger figure will never exist as customizers and companies will always release the next best thing.

I guess we have grammar nazis here now, picking fights over "so far". Genuine A-hole over something so shallow..

Must be feeling high and mighty bullying people on an online forum about toys...lmao.

Pathetic

Also, you don't need to sign your posts at the bottom, just a heads up for the future. :duff

I've seen similar comparisons made on the Inart Joker thread so allow me. At the price that JND is asking for their Joker, which they seemed confident enough to raise even higher for their subsequent release, I don't think it's in the collectors best interest to spend on this fiigure. Not when they can use these funds towards a much better custom. There has to be a limit to how much you can set your price with regards to what you can produce on a mass level. In my opinion, JND had a golden opportunity to give us a much better representation, but opted to focus on the technology instead. What you end up paying for is gimmicks, which seem to only bring up concerns about articulation limitation, material durability, and the overall longevity.

I think there's a lot of good work that went into their piece. But good isn't good enough. Not in the competitive space of 1/6, and certainly not when it comes to Heath Ledger's Joker.

So how much would that sculpt and the perfect outfit cost me?

That outfit specifically is the wonderworldpbr set. With the sculpt it would cost around $1600. That's not too bad when you consider the cost of the JND. You're getting the difference you're paying for.

WWs set was incredibly cheap for how good it is.
It's grown on me a lot, and I'm regretful I missed the chance to get one before it sold out. I love that he opted for a darker palette across the board. It looks a lot closer to what you see on screen than what you're used to seeing from companies and other custom runs. I can't tell you how tired I am of these lime green vests in particular.

While customs generally look better because care and attention to detail AND smaller runs, good luck selling those at cost. Most customs I see after the fact that people sell are well below what they paid. Sad but it is what is. Always easier to sell a licensed piece versus a custom. We'll see how this figure turns out, but the price really is the driving negative factor.
