The new neck peg is a pretty terrible design

Excited to get mine. Still waiting for my local retailer to get it in. I think in Canada, they won't get it till June...but hopefully it's earlier. The more review videos that are coming out, the better the head sculpt looks...it's not perfect but it's pretty close.

I just wish they weren't using the same old Black Widow body they've been using forever, as it's way too busty and curvy for how Portman looked in the movie.

When did Hot Toys bother with such concerns? It's just laziness. It's the same right from proto stage.

Pretty stupid to stop PO's on Anakin and then drop this first. The neck connector also looks like that fragile cheap plastic. That said, it's Luke and Leia's mom in her coolest space girl outfit and a must have really. Probably just have her hanging out with the ANH kids in the display if I can't get the proper Anakin for a good price. These new practices are pretty much pushing me out of collecting as I have always used the 'wait and see' approach when I am not entirely sure about something.

Pretty sure this one will at least hold it's value if the plan doesn't work out.

I do have some funny Skywalker family photos in mind while using Vader, Padme here, and the ANH kids. JCPenney style.

Huh...what the hell is that ? Does this weird thing has a purpose ?
So it's not even possible to put the head on another body ?

The hair doesn't seem removable either. Is this weird neck peg allow to access the eyes system inside the head ?

Yeah it does but you have to be careful putting it back in as it’s really easy to knock her cross eyed

I'm really tempted to get her but...I don't have a single Star Wars figure
What am I doing here then ? Well...we don't have enough good female figures outside of Hot Toys ones. And I was thinking maybe to buy her to make a custom of another character.
She has that "face" and hair style in Black Swan.
Jane Foster ? She has long hair. That might be a lot of work.
Evey from V for Vendetta ? She has NO hair

There were Black Swan figures from an artist in Korea (on Instagram), well over $1,000. Limited run, less than 30 I think.

I almost pulled the trigger but did not buy - a part of me is glad I did not waste the money but another part of me still regrets it.

In theory it shouldn't be that hard to do now with this head sculpt of Natalie Portman. It's just a girl in a dress.
But the problem is...the dress. I just looked on EBay and it seems difficult to find anything that looks like the dresses she wore in that movie.

Got mine today, very nice figure and the likeness is very good in hand.

I wonder if Sideshow’s allocation was able to make it out of China before the lunar new year.

Damn, I want a Natalie Portman figure, but I don't care about Star Wars...
What should I do ??!
I guess I can easily find clothes to make her look like her character in the movie ANNIHILATION but...not especially an iconic look

Don’t really understand the neck connector on this one. Ultimately I guess it doesn’t matter much but still odd.
