Reasons for this outfit:

1) Best available reference.
2) Worn in his last episode.
3) Yellow (op) and Red (com) dominated the VOY poster crew, so adding some Teal can balance the overall presentation a little bit.

As far as the majority of the cast wearing red or gold and wanting teal for some variety I’m not sure I understand the point there either. Neelix’s outfit was neither.

When Nanjin says “Best available reference”, please don’t tell me it’s from 4 or 5 press shots? The guy was on seven bloody seasons of the show!

I don’t expect them to sift through every episode made but one or two will give you more than enough reference material. What nonsense is this

What’s the reason for the blue hand spots? Odd from someone who gets so passionate to the point of winding himself up about colour accuracy.

I still don't understand the "final episode" thing. Why would you want that moment represented in your collection over the Neelix we saw in the vast majority of the series? I don't recall it as being an especially great episode.

And if he wanted a different color tone this would have worked fine too.

Did you? Cause the mouth is the only area that looks like you changed to me. The rest still looks real close to the figure. Which the mouth is the part I pointed out that most people are upset about.

Its honestly shocking that there are still people in the dark about how nanjin is and how he operates. Literally no, nanjin has absolutely no ***** to give about your opinion, this is how he has been since day 1. If he has his way, he would shut all discussion down about everything he is doing, here, Facebook, everywhere. He is a dictator and what he says and thinks is always correct and will be the final say.
Once you understand this simple truth, it becomes extremely easy to grasp the situation with exo-6. Hes making these figures as a passion project to himself, and he's using us to help fund it. That's it. Exo-6 is not just another run of the mill 1/6 scale company making products and selling them to collectors. Its Literally one dude, hiring other people to make figures he wants to own and then marketing himself as a business so he can trick people into believing he's like every other company, so that we shower him with endless praise while helping him pay the bills.
I'm waiting for him to run out of funds because the figures are likely selling worse by the day and then he'll have to stop his 5 year mission or whatever bs he's calling it, so that he can blame all of us for not getting TOS figures while he continues to deliberately drag his feet on the characters people want to actually own. Remember when TWOK was supposed to go up for preorder LAST SUMMER? how's motion picture bones doing btw?

Exo-6 figures are the product. I am the (potential) customer. That is the Relationship, Full Stop. It is completely irrelevant how Nanjin "is" & "how he operates his own company.. If Nanjin has "no ***** to give about my opinion ", what do I care?

It's his venture, his licence, his gamble. Of course he should have final say. If the company Succeeds, it's because of Nanjin Tam. If it fails, it's also because of Nanjin Tam.

If Exo-6 is a "Passion Project" to himself, again, so what? More power to him. Whatever motivates him. If he makes a product available I like, I'll buy it. If I don't like it, I'll pass. I'll vote with my wallet & feel Zero pressure to "shower him with praise" or rant a misplaced sense of entitlement in any potential transaction.

First off the passion project. What... does that matter? And do you have any idea how many businesses are one person hiring other people to do something? lol...
A lot of businesses start as a passion. 99% of businesses work as you describe...

Heck, if I had that much money I'd LOVE to do whatever I wanted and work on something like that while hiring tons of skillful help! You just described business. I don't think he demands endless praise. I just don't think he really cares for other opinions on this subject which isn't great but isn't the end of the world. Imaging working a decade on something which some people love but other randoms on the internet just insult and take a giant dump on.

I'm a small business owner myself in an industry with a lot of public face. While there's an ideal here about the community management, not all companies or people have a community manager (I wish I could!) and just have to wing it.

Biascally I see a lot of demonizing the guy and I think it's undeserved. He's just making figures, and sometimes they're not liked. But isn't calling him a dictator about Star Trek figurines a bit much?

Now I haven't read all of his Facebook stuff. Just the last several months. Maybe I'm missing the part where he's ruling a small country with an iron fist.

The dude ain't perfect but isn't this all a bit much?

But it needs to work both ways. If we need to shut up, take what we’re given [or not given] in silence and remove the chips from our shoulders, then Nanjin can too.

I honestly think we’d all be a lot less fired up about how we view the company and this five-year mission if the founder of the company didn’t take every opportunity to scorn us, block us, and call us pejorative names whenever we dare to have an opinion about the products we want to turn over our hard earned cash to purchase.

How rude and impudent of us to try to provide feedback to a CEO who presents himself publicly on various social media platforms to promote his wares in forums that exist to solicit discussion and idea exchange. But it seems all he expected [and for sure all he accepts] is praise and worship.

I’ve said this before, but our crime in the eyes of EXO is that we [foolishly it seems] assumed that it would operate like any serious business, welcoming feedback from customers.

So if you want us to “get over it” then deliver that message back to Nanjin in kind.

And I just can’t end this post without noting that the two accounts that are most supportive of the odd business style were created just days to week and a half ago have Trek in their names and only post in this forum. Draw your own conclusions.

No it doesn’t. If people take what he says personally against them like some do here that’s on them. If the are continually go to his FB to see what he says, or read something here and let him live rent free in their head that’s on them.

The way he acts does not justify acting crappier. Be an adult and just move on. Let him be the child trolling for attention. You ignore him he will go away. Or continue being the obsessive ex girlfriend who can’t get over being dumped trying to tell everyone how horrible the ex is, when everyone really just doesn’t care.

Because our experience in buying and collecting figures is relevant. Not simply saying this one is pretty, and this one isn’t. I stand by everything I wrote.

I don’t think anyone loses any sleep thinking about Nanjin, but how he treats us is relevant. Maybe it’s the people who post here who don’t appreciate how we are often treated and labeled that are living rent free in your head. If that’s the case, then scroll on by or block us. But we’re not going to be silenced by him or you.

I know that sounds pretty harsh, but I have to add that I understand and appreciate your opinion. Even I go back and forth on the matter. I posted a while ago that it may well be Nanjin’s seemingly strange nature and idiosyncrasies that make him the only man brave enough to tackle 1/6 Trek, and if he were a normal businessman, he would have cut a run like so many others.

But I’m still going to call balls and strikes. When he rejects and diminishes me or my friends on this board, you’ll likely hear about it from me.

And just to be clear, no one is questioning who gets to make the final call on how EXO chooses to produce a certain figure. It’s his company, his venture, and his risk. He is obviously free to reject any and all feedback and opinions from customers. All we’re asking for is a bit of respect as the ones primary funding his venture. The difference is, you can reject all of our input without a second thought, but you don’t have to start the discourse with “How dare you” and end it with calling us a**h***s [the understood translation of “Experts”].
