EXO-6 Star Trek "Voyager" Figures

Yeah - a pass for me also.

I didn't get any of the other "Voyager" releases (not impressed with those either), so it was always unlikely I'd be tempted.

But the expression, the outfit - no.

I ordered it. Is it my favorite Neelix outfit? No. But it's accurate to something he wore. As far as his expression goes? It seems like you can't win. Either it's so neutral it just looks weird, or the face is frozen in an expression that looks awkward. He's not as bad as doofus grin Ant-Man, so I'm happy with that. Price? The sculpt is very unique, as is the clothing, and I imagine that really jacks up the price. Yeah, the aliens and the weird one-and-done outfits are going to be more expensive. That's the nature of the product. Thankfully, they are the exception rather than the rule.
My biggest qualm? The beard seams and the blue spots on the hand. But I am hopeful that as production moves forward, they will come out much, much better than we see in the pics, which has been a normal thing for Exo-6. Fingers crossed!
At worst, I have a figure that doesn't measure up as well to the others in the line, but the crew is complete. Honestly, I never would have dreamed 5 years ago that I'd have a complete crew from Voyager so freaking fast. Remarkable, truly remarkable.

Was hoping O'Brien or Bashir would go up today.

Neelix looks absolutely terrible.

I didn't see this shot initially. So, the head pictured in every other solicit photo is NOT the one that will be on the product. Just keep that in mind.

Read that on Nanjins FB page - hoping we’ll get a bit more of a peak and not just a render of the “improved” HS…

K - now I'm confused - is the head in the officially released preorder pictures the final one or not?

So why even solicit? That's just going to make people confused. It's already getting dragged in comments on the Exo FB page.

No, it's not. As crasis noted, the headsculpt in the photos is an earlier iteration. The 'revised' sculpt is the computer render shown among the pictures of the figure release.

While this render looks more like the actor, which is great, I still have an overall concern with the quality and execution of the HSs. This Voyager line especially.

But I really don’t think the revised sculpt is much better. I guess I’d have to see it on the figure to be sure.

Not a wise marketing strategy to say the least. They would’ve been better off delaying a week or two and releasing the PO with the updated sculpt images.

How did it even go up for pre-order if the sculpt isn’t final? What a weird choice to put up a figure with a sculpt that isn’t finalized. Are they just trying to rush to finish VOY since by Nanjin’s admission it’s late by six months?

I don’t think there’s much of a risk of him selling out after the PO period. He’ll likely be up for immediate release for a while, certainly enough time to make a judgement call of whether or not the new sculpt is worth buying.

I'm frankly a little stunned that Exo-6 would post pics of a REJECTED product to solicit orders, regardless of the rendering what its supposed to look like. Which still isn't good!

I don't love Neelix, so this had to be a 10/10 to get a sale from me. It's not half that. After TOS, VOYAGER is my favorite Trek, & I'm a completist, but I passed on EMH & Neelix is a pass too. I'm in the midst of a VGR rewatch now, and I'm telling ya- THAT is NOT Neelix.

I felt the same with the EMH, he’s easily one of the best characters and I love him. But I did not like the figure at all, that weird smile thing - a very odd sculpt. I was so disappointed as he is a must, or in this case, a must not.

Sideshow does not have the revised head sculpt photo on their listing. What a cluster.
