I'm trying to decide which head to get repainted for the regular Joker. Which do I keep for the the mob look. The standard head or the one with the small amount of white showing through? :dunno

Tough call. I would say wait for them in hand, and then decide which one looks better.

If the white underskin doesn't look "real", it would be easy enough to paint a white space on the other Joker head which may be more accurate to the movie... thus, have the Joker with white forehead repainted.

This is why I get multiples of figures. I have 4 DX08 Jokers that I planned on tweaking if Hot Toys released a Mob or Party Man version but didn’t include the regular clothes.

12 years later . . . Mars answers the call.

If I only had one of this Mob Joker, the white forehead smear head would be the one I’d get repainted in regular colors. It’s too scene specific and you can use the regular flesh head for both Mob look and Party Man.

DX08 and DX09 were my first Hot Toys, I got them 10 years ago myself!

I just did not get multiples lol

I am really happy to bring new life to these figures and character representation.

True. If the hat worked, I would definitely go grinning Mob Boss look. But since the hat doesn't look great, I suppose I will be going for the scene specific moment where he just wiped the make-up off his forehead to reveal his true color underneath. Maybe I'll put his hand up near his head holding that green handkerchief as if having just wiped.

Speaking of which, now is the time for someone to make a good printed Joker hat.

Yeah, a custom hat feels like a no-brainer. Certainly seems like it'd be a priority over a custom tie. People didn't like the Hot Toys hat either.

While I understand the desire for a custom hat, there's more work involved and not as simple as the tie. If you just make a hat to fit the current sculpt, you'd end up with the same, overside crown effect that the one it comes with has due to the shape of the hair. You'll need to cut away part of the top of the head/hair for an accurately proportioned hat to work. That means trying to acquire another sculpt for that purpose or choosing one of the 3 it already comes with to be permanently used with the hat only.

I would definitely sacrifice the 3rd head to some dremel work for it to fit a nice hat and look like the Joker when he says "Life's been good to me".

That would be the ultimate mob boss Joker for me.

So true. You can’t just have a hat made unless you want the urban sombrero look. You gotta shave the sculpt then fit a custom hat to that.

15 years or so ago, back when that funky 3rd party Jack Joker was on the market, I made a rigid felt hat to fit it. I think I ended up making almost 30 of them. I may dremel one sculpt down and make one similar for it.

Well then, I hope you'll make another "run" of it so some of us can have another Coco hat for another Joker!

I have no idea where that old Joker figure is now. I know the top coat on mine got some weird faded pinkish pattern that I could only guess was from the faint daylight that managed to come through closed blinds after many years in the same spot.

By the way, what body do y'all suppose Mars uses and will it be compatible with the DX08 shoes, hands and head?

I was thinking about the swap/build for a Museum Joker... if the Mars head doesn't fit on the DX08 body, you may need to use the plug from the DX08 head... and then use the leftover Mars plug for the new Joker you are building... but what body would that be? And will that body fit DX08 shoes. If you have the original Mars Joker, then you're likely set.

I know, patience, patience... wait and see what body is under Mr J. I'd just love to know so I can have that part flying in now while Mr J is shipping too.

I mean, watching Justin’s review, he makes it seem like it was an easy head swap.

I forgot Justin tried that out in his review. That Mars tie is starting to grow on me.

I forgot about Justin's video too. I'll have to watch it again. Hopefully its an easy swap and no worries.

I still need a body for my new Parade Joker though... standard KO should work.

got the shipping noticed from OSK this morning so it'll be about 10-14 days before I see this in hand. Nice to know it's on it's way though.

Anyone ever receive a weird text saying package arrived in USPS warehouse but can’t be delivered due to incomplete address? There’s a link but afraid it’s fraud. Idk. Cause tracking still says it’s on the way.
