I recognised him by his avatar too. Crazy how you can be sat there, chatting insignificant details about figures releasing in a year or two of characters that you love.... and then you could literally just drop dead the next day. You spent some of your last hours chatting about a figure you'll never even see. A movie you'll never even watch again. Life just stops suddenly sometimes at the most unexpected moment.

Life is a gift, it is not a dress rehearsal. My father often said 3 score years and 10 anything more is a bonus. I just celebrated my birthday, I rode the Carousel 4 times, saw a film, went to a restaurant with my girls and made a toast for all those that have not reached my years.

My best wishes to you all for 2024 and beyond.

I am thinking World Box AT020 Pro for MacReady if the Mondo body is not suitable. At this rate all I shall have is the head.

To you the Mondo people out there, I know you are going to deliver on MacReady and surprise us all , the thing is it could be the most talked about figure of 2024 for good reasons.

What is that base?

Collar done. I'll probably just add the snaps to the pockets and that'll be "close enough" to the Schott original. Most of the inaccurate parts will be obscured by flamethrower straps, etc. But already, it looks more promising than the licensed prototype in my insignificant opinion.

It’s been a long road, but I finally had the chance to set up and display my prize possession in my collection, RJ MacReady from ‘The Thing. I am so happy to finally have it set up. To me this is my greatest achievement in the hobby to date and I think it turned out great, everything ended up fitting perfectly. I’m so happy to see it finished and I believe I’ve done it justice. This is a great tribute to the horror cult classic and being my personally favourite horror film, there was only one version to have. All the artists involved absolutely brought this figure to life and I thank all of you for your time and dedication to bring one of John Carpenter’s masterpieces to 1/6 reality.
