Hot Toys: Batman 85 Years Announcement Speculation

This is like announcing you've just bought stuff that you have already owned for years and expecting people to be excited
They did nothing or next to nothing with these IPs before and I thoroughly expect to be disappointed now.

With that said, I too hope for a Returns Catwoman and Penguin and a deep dive into the Arkham line.

Batman 85th Anniversary: The License?



As opposed to Batman 84th Anniversary?

First appearance, silver age, Returns, Panther would be great, but we'll just get TDK 5.0.

What bugs me aside from the hollowness of the license, is the lack of specificity.

85th anniversary is very broad. Comics? Film? Games? Wait another 7 months to find out and 2 years before you get it.

Bale, Affleck and Keaton already have multiple .0 releases to their names already and none of them have even started to ship yet. I can’t imagine even more.

I’d like to see versions and characters that haven’t been done yet, but that’s just me. Comic interpretations would be more than welcome too, like what Mezco has done.

If this is more for Warner Bros. Property though, these three make the most sense,








Not even going to bother with any villains from the 8 films since Hot Toys seems so adverse to doing any of them except for Ledger Joker, Bane and Catwoman.

I would love to see Clooney figures. I think HT will be doing Batman and Robin since others like McFarlane and Iron Studios are doing it too.

I think we might be getting Batman Return figures. I can see a Batman Return 2.0. Praying for a Returns Catwoman & Penguin. I can also see a Reeves 2.0

Would definitely love a Kilmer Panther suit. That'd probably be my top want actually. Took the Sonar suit down to have a look again, still actually the last Hot Toys figure I bought, it still feels 'new' to me as a result - and it was Xmas 22. It's a beautiful figure. So yeah, lets be having a Panther suit.

Probably nowhere on Hot Toy's radar.

Joker Nicholson 2.0.

I feel like Titties McGee and Throbbin’ have a strong chance of happening based on the fact that HT can just re-use their existing O’Donnell head…and honestly? I’d be 1000% down for that ****. I saw the McFarlane figure at work today and it’s triggering some baser, nostalgic part of my lizard brain that wants all things Batman & Robin.

I love the panther suit but without nipples.in any case it's an interesting announcement, I feel that it's going to be an old school Batman.

It would be interesting to see Clooney and O’Donnell made from Batman & Robin. I still haven’t bought the Batman Forever figures though.

I’d love to see them too, I picked up the Sonar Suit but passed on Robin. I’d easily add the Panther Suit along with the B&R suits.

Hoping though as they have said 85 years of Batman that they branch out further than just the movies - a Returns 2.0 along with Catwoman and Penguin would be welcome but if there’s a chance for something like a Golden Age Batman etc I wouldn’t pass it up.

How would any of these movies suggestions be connected to the 85 year thing?

It must be comic stuff having seen how popular the Spidey and Wolverine figures were.

How would they not be? The movies are a part of the 85 year history. Also movie figures are Hot Toys’ primary focus.

But it's not the 85th anniversary of any of those movies. They announced about four movie Batman figures last year so how would more movie figures be any different? Has to be something more specific.
