I've defended the Blondie sculpt and paint before I had Preacher, and I'll still defend that sculpt and paint. It's not as good as Preacher, but not the worse head sculpt I've seen, I still feel the best of the non-licensed paint/sculpt Eastwood figures don't look as good as Sideshow's Blondie.
Preacher gets a 10, Blondie gets a 8. Those un-licensed figures get a 5.

I have a strong feeling the eventual next Dollars trilogy release will have a new sculpt that hopefully can replace SSC's Blondie. Although, if they make a Stranger from a Fist Full of Dollars, he wasn't smoking or wearing a hat during his armored plate duel a that's the version I think they'll make first. I think they'll either release another TGTBTU or a Few Dollars More to get the sculpt we want, that'll be a long wait.

I don’t know if OneSixthKit still sells his sculpt but it’s a good one. It’s a mass produced Trevor sculpt. It’s what the third party figures have recasted. I recommend replacing the third party sculpt with it. It’s much higher quality.

Not perfect though. The Sideshow hat is much better. The likeness still looks like a caricature but I prefer it over Sideshow’s.

There are things wrong with the Redman release .ie how high the hat sits and the ill-fitting clothes for starters. I don't own the Present Toys, but some of the same issues exist on that figure based on images. The plus for the Present Toys is it has a hatless sculpt; "stolen" as well.
Hmm, yeah the clothes on the unlicensed make it look like a barbie doll lol. The hat sculpt does sit way too high, in the film it’s sitting low and that look kinda made his character iconic.

The sculpt for red man isn’t really there either, I see more Hugh Jackman lol. I’m guessing Clint has a really difficult likeness to nail

My Josey Wales is still waiting for replacement left trigger hand, you all know he needs it. Kit of OneSixKit has contacted his supplier and waits for a response. Leaving nothing to chance I contacted Sideshow, response received but not positive, told they do not provide parts when item purchased from third party. Further contact same individual agreed to pass my request to appropriate dept so that it is flagged when they receive Kit's enquiry. Josey and I now wait.

How’s the head sculpt?

Have you looked at Toy Anxiety?

Negative views? I don’t anything bad at all, haha. People might be too nit picky for that sculpt tbh
Most definitely. We are all a bunch of nuts here. That's why I stated go with what matters most to you. That's rarely let me down. I have few regrets in purchases when I do that.

I mean, I get the Blondie critiquing, but Josey e looks good to me. I mean if I must critique it I’d say that maybe face is a bit aged, but nothing crazy.

Clint is so recognisable that, if you see a sculpt that is off, it hits you instantly. That instant hit should be the likeness being totally him. Clint supposedly signed off on these figures, but, at his age, that thousand yard stare may not be as sharp as it once was. I haven't seen any Clint sculpt yet where the instant recognition has been there. The clothes and the name tell you it is him, but the faces, not so much.

I guess we’ll agree to disagree. I would say that all the Sculpts are more than 80 percent accurate. Sure some aren’t nailed but they’re still undeniably Clint.

As for Clint’s approval, I don’t really think it took much for him to be amazed by the sculpts. The guy has been around before action figures became adult collectables and he doesn’t seem like he was much aware about the hobby beforehand, so seeing anything that doesn’t look like a 60s or 70s children’s doll would’ve wowed him regardless lol

I decided to keep Blondie! And boy I think I’m glad that I did, upon opening the figure out of packaging his face doesn’t look nearly as bad as i thought it might. Here’s a quick snap of it after I finally figured out how to style the sarape accurately. Not the best pics but it’s 4am here and I’m sleepy lol
