Sideshow: The Clint Eastwood Legacy Collection (1:6 figures)

The only downside I see of the Josey figure is the lack of weathering.

Hello fellas. I’ve been lurking this page for a bit and I signed up to ask for your opinions:

So for Christmas I bought myself the Dirty Harry figure for 220 USD on sale but to my surprise they accidentally sent me the Man With No Name. Originally I was shocked since the store I bought it from only had Harry listed.

However after I had spoken to the store owner they checked and happen to also have Harry in stock… Now I face a dilemma-to return Blondie for Harry or Keep Blondie?

I love Blondie’s attire more than Harry’s which is just a plain suit and Blondie has more accessories going on for him, however what makes me hesitant to keep him is that I’ve heard many people online say that his face sculpt is way off and Harry’s sculpt is very good.

Which option would you guys recommend to go for? Keep Blondie, or should I return him and swap him for Harry?

I would say keep the one that matters to you most. For me it would be Blondie. I like Dirty Harry, but it doesn't hold a candle to how I feel about GBU. The sculpt is by far the worst SS has put out. I kind of get the feeling from your post that you just want a Clint figure in your collection. Harry is a better sculpt; boring outfit. Blondie has a lackluster sculpt; visually appealing outfit. Ultimately, I would stick to what I said first go with what matters to you.

Is Blondie really that bad? The worst?

I opened Preacher for Christmas, Absolutely Fantastic, The sculpt & paint is better than Blondie. I struggled to move the arms to shoulder height because what i thought was the fabric was binding around the torso, then I thought I broke something when I felt a strong pop! Turns out that Sideshow now uses strong detents in the shoulders, I guess to give the arms more strength against the weight of accessories. I've seen this in 1/6 before just not a detent this strong. The head sculpt and paint on this figure is Sideshows very best. Highly recommend picking this release up!
Now that I have a giftcard for Sideshow, I'm looking to order Josey Wales. I'm waiting on the January newsletter contest to get that $25 off.

Blondie is going for considerably more now than it retailed for so not sure if that makes your decision eeasier.


The headsculpt is indeed the worst of the Clint releases so far. Which is unfortunate because the character is definitely his most iconic. Everything else on the figure is great though and honestly normal viewing distance sitting on shelf he's cool enough. The josey wales and preacher are next level if you do end up wanting more.

Personally, I'd keep blondie, but i don't care much for Dirty Harry.

Is his head sculpt really that bad? I haven’t had the chance to open and check because in case I want to return him.

How much more is Blondie going for next to Dirty Harry?

It is the worst of what's been put out. Bad? Well, that depends on your point of view. I don't like it, but this is my Star Wars. I've seen Clint's westerns on a fairly regular rotation throughout my life. This isn't Blondie. Preacher is highly liked 'round here, and I like him too, but he is a bit cartoony. In good light and shadow Preacher shines. Blondie the only real good light and shadow is when you cover the sculpt with his hat. I'm being overly critical with what I've just stated, but even with the two shots you have for comparison I have to wince.

It’s a shame Pale Rider isn’t a fraction as iconic as TGTBATU, I might be wrong but earlier today I saw a few side profile photo of the figure that I think actually capture his likeness in the movie perfectly…

For example here, he’s unmistakably Clint Eastwood to the point where a black and white filter could make you think it was a real shot from the film.

Sorry brother, but when it's that blurry I could pass as Blondie.
He isn't trash. He just isn't what he should have been. This is a premier license they acquired. They promoted it as one. Going so far as having the man, himself, in the studio to see the work. These ain't cheap either. He's just a disappointment seeing the subsequent releases.

Argh lol, For some reason I can’t get the video to more than 480p (it’s from their Facebook page) I’ll try to see if they have it on YouTube…

But idk, it’s got its moments. Harry’s face looked alright but his skin is grey lol… Blondie I can overlook because in most of the film he’s in the desert and covered in dirt and sand etc.

Do you own, or have you ever owned the Blondie figure in person before?

I have all of SS's releases; well sans Harry. Waiting on Wales. Munny is pre-ordered even though, based on images, he's lacking as well. I have some of the knock-offs too. Trevor's sculpts were better and they are a decade old.

Yes Munny imho looks very off. His body build is even way too stocky, and he looks like a stereotypical western movie villain

Which sideshow is your favourite atm?

Also I’m new to this 1:6 world any chance you can direct me to Trevor’s sculpts?

Right now and I don't have the figure yet is Wales.
As far as Trevor's sculpts go that's a slippery slop. You see he made sculpts for a commissioned run on all 3 from GBU. Redman and now Present Toys have recasted those sculpts. Don't know how you feel or what you know about recasts. All these knock-offs can be had from ebay and a few retailers.

There are things wrong with the Redman release .ie how high the hat sits and the ill-fitting clothes for starters. I don't own the Present Toys, but some of the same issues exist on that figure based on images. The plus for the Present Toys is it has a hatless sculpt; "stolen" as well.
