1/6 Animated Clone Wars Anakin & Obi-Wan Sixth Scale Figures!

Well, the more I look at them on the shelf the more I like them. I just ordered Yoda from PC.

like the poses.......simple.....effective. i really dig these figures. i have yoda ordered as well. on the fence about asoka......but will probably cave for her too.

Both of these figures are around half price, £106 each, at KG Hobby.

Tempting but i still hold out some hope that another company will offer more refined versions in the (near) future.

I paid double that when I PO'd them and I still haven't opened either. Such a terrible purchase.

I wish I knew they'd make Maul, then I'd probably order Obi Wan from KG Hobby

Ouch, and it's not like you can move them on now without a huge loss.
Just got to hope they might regain some value in the future, that's my hope on my TFA Rey and Kylo figures!

i custom mine I put him on a hot toys style body. sanded down the part where the arms fit into the join to make pins for the sideshow arms. i put the clone wars hot toys anakin boots on him to give him a different stylised look. take a photo soon. not the greatest of photos. but i kind of like this line. hopefully ss will get better if this line advances.

Anakin is $216 with free shipping now. Not too bad.

to bad they **** the bed on this series. would have been awesome to have cad bane from the line

i got Ashoka and swapped the body to PHICEN small bust style body i like it. i think they did a good job on her.

How do you paint the body?

i used a fabric marker on the skin and rubbed it in to make it stain the skin. i think it turned out good have to take a photo later

At long long last, I finally opened my SSC TCW figures.
After having such a long time to be fully aware of all their shortcomings- which set my expectations to below zero- and reconcile the fact I paid twice as much for these at the point of pre-ordering as I could have if I’d yet waited for Sideshow to expose themselves and how little they respect the privilege of holding this license, I was actually able to enjoy the unboxing and posing experience.

Thanks to @McHaleyArt I’ve known exactly what I wanted to do with Anakin and Yoda for awhile, and Obi WAN’s pose just fell into place naturally.

I definitely prefer these animated iterations over HT’s live action interpretations, so I do hope sideshow ups their effort and the quality to pull off a stellar Cad Bane to reignite an interest in this line- because it truly could be phenomenal if they give themselves the opportunity the delve deeper.

i upgraded the bodies on these two. swapped out the whole body. custom i kept the arms and legs just did something like McHaley done.they look better and the joints are a lot more stiff.

Trying some swapping of parts. It’s creates some inaccuracies, but looks a bit more premium. Other ideas ahead.
