Hot Toys Power of the Darkside exhibit..

They might even get the helmets right on those.

    Shumi Arts: 1:6 Billie Eilish

Ah, I've heard that one. Anacondas have kind of a unique head shape for a boid, in part given how semi-aquatic they are relative to other species.

    Shumi Arts: 1:6 Billie Eilish

I'm not familiar with the source material (I know who she is, I mean the video or photo or whatever with the snake) ... if that's in fact an anaconda they're replicating based on colour and pattern, I can't tell exactly from the photos but they may have offset the head too much and made it look...

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

The best Vader scene will forever be his casual one-handed domination of Luke in Cloud City. :lecture Baby Yoda is an animatronic shill for the Entertainment Industrial Complex that keeps us down! Wake up sheeple! :chase

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

Imagine a world where art simply moved on. There were only three Star Wars films, never tweaked, no SE versions. And *we* all moved on. No "lore" factories churning out "content". No nerds crying on YouTube. Everything left to the imagination and what-might-have-been instead of boardrooms and...

1/6 Hot Toys Stormtroopers Deluxe Version MMS514/515

Interesting what different people see; I can't look at the HT ROTJ buckets without being triggered.

1/6 Hot Toys Stormtroopers Deluxe Version MMS514/515

The closest Hot Toys have ever come to an accurate helmet is the Disney-trooper, Rogue One style bucket -- and even that isn't quite right, maybe lost something when scaled down. Their OT buckets are all wildly inaccurate. The Sandtrooper helmet captures the overall vibe of the helmet better...

    Superman (July 11th, 2025)

I saw it in the theatre and can't remember most of it. Spacey yelling? Didn't Superman's toddler straight up murder a villain by crushing him with a desk?

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

Absolutely. I wonder if we'll see his like again. My list is taken from Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, "Heroes", Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), Let's Dance...

That's just their AI art department data-scraping old images.

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

Agreed on that, hence my disclaimer that it wasn't a one-to-one situation. Mostly the way I enjoy what I like and have learned to completely ignore the rest. Years ago I would write passionate screeds on this forum about content I disapproved of, but it no longer matters. 100%

Star Wars Saga (OT/PT/ST) Discussion Thread

Star Wars has become David Bowie for me. Kind of; it's not a one-to-one analogy. I was lucky enough to see Bowie perform twice and have enormous respect for him as an artist. Yet in his lifetime he produced a massive body of work and took many risks -- most of which doesn't actually resonate...

Hot Toys: Daredevil - (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law)

I actually kinda prefer my superheroes to look a little goofy with retro styled, colour-blocked suits so I don't mind the style, but too bad it's desaturated for 'realism'. One of the reasons Deadpool movies are so much fun. Their costumes are a lot more old school.
