InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I always thought that was a two way radio/mic so he could communicate with Alfred, and listen in on surveillance devices. I'm not sure if it was to help him recover hearing directly in front of him. But yeah, maybe in universe it acted like noise cancelling headphones, allowing in sounds from...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yeah, I remember Bale saying in several BTS vids how he couldn't hear a damn thing in the cowl. I mean he's literally covering his ears completely with sound absorbing rubber. Think how easy it would be to sneak up on Batman in that thing.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yeah the comics have at various times tried to give those costume elements a rational explanation. Like the bat symbol on his chest was bullet proof and meant to draw gun fire away from his face and stomach. In Batman Begins the ears hold the radio communication devices to talk to Alfred. Etc...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

I feel like some kind of back pack or something, like in TDK, would help give it some "real world" rationale. Like the cape retracts into his suit when not in active use, to prevent all that dumb **** from happening because of it. I would not want to get in a brawl with a dozen dudes with a five...

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Though I have to say, the fact that Batman even wears a cape probably requires the most suspension of disbelief. I couldn't imagine a more impractical potentially dangerous bit of kit to wear fighting crime than a freaking cape. I mean for real, imagine a cop wearing a ******* blanket, how easy...

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if there were a handful of different lengths for different scenes. There certainly was in the Nolan films.

Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

My deluxe version from Pipcultcha finally shipped. I think I may part out the Batsignal version I already have. Takes up too much space. But that signal sure is cool.

InArt - The Batman 1/6th Figure

Yes this forum is for pros and cons of figures. But not a forum for personal insults, grudges and name calling. Even if you believe they are beneath you and not worthy of respectful dialogue. It won't just be the people you attack that tire of it and block you. Please, just take it down a notch.

Sure. - swapped to a OT Customs collar - added padding to the traps and lats, while removing some from his obliques. - split the collar ends of the cape for accuracy - used some double sided fabric tape to tame his cape - added a bit of weathering on his suit with a tamiya weathering kit - took...

1/6 Hot Toys - MMS331D13 - Iron Man 2 - War Machine Collectible Figure (Reissue)

Whoa I got real lucky. I threw some new batteries in and discovered that when the switch snapped off, it did so in the “on” position. So at least the led chest still lights up, but I have to install/remove the battery every time I want to turn it on/off.

    1. No I didn’t need to take in the suit anywhere. It conforms really well to the new shape. 2. I reattached the bodysuit under the crotch, since it was just a single stitch. Helps keep the shirt tucked in. 3. There’s a small piece of black foam under the top of the shoulder armor to lift them a...

Yeah all the InArt hands look a little to long and slender.

Hot Toys THE BATMAN -1/6 Batman / Batman deluxe / Batman + batsignal set

Okay I'm sure I'll get absolutely flamed for saying this, but I think when comparing to the InArt, just a few mods to the body shape, make a huge difference to the end result. I know not everyone likes to mod, so I understand the immediate preference to InArt. AND I'M NOT SAYING HOT TOYS IS...

It’s pretty easy to get under the suit around the waist. Just drop the trousers and there’s a single stitch under the crotch that holds the bodysuit/top down. Snip this stitch, and further modding is easy. I did this to remove some bulk from his waist and it work well balancing his proportions.

Credit to Eric Lovato on facebook for posting this mod. He suggested using light coats of yellow acrylic paint to tint the led in the batsignal. I went a bit further and added an additional warming filter, cut to size, behind the glass. This helps balance the color and also gives the glass a...
