You can sometimes remove paint by applying mineral spirits with a small paint brush or cotton swab, but results can widely vary and I recommend only doing this with absolute caution! I’ve ruined plenty of figures by overdoing it, especially if you use acetone instead.
But it sounds like you’ve...
After looking at these close-ups, it's apparent now that the only nitpick I have with the portrait is that the eye makeup is a little too heavy. I just wonder if it could be taken down a couple notches with some mineral spirits or paint remover without ruining the skin texture underneath.
Did everybody here watch the video Waiden posted a few days ago? The sculpt looks much better in less overblown lighting. I think this may be the best Arnold Conan we're ever going to get. I personally can't wait to add this guy with my other '80s screen icons (like Prince!).
Here are some...
Thanks for the recommendation! 1999 was the first vinyl record I ever bought (that wasn't part of a comic book set, anyway) and when I first became a Prince fan, so this era of his career is very near and dear to my heart. :rock
It looks like a more diminutive body was used, as well as an improved head sculpt, in the final product –– two changes that needed to be made IMHO to make this figure a must-buy for me.
Damn, I was gonna pass on this one based on the prototype photos, but it looks like SooSoo and Win.C knew...
I’m so glad that this Dewback is actually happening! Passing on Sideshow’s version is one of my great collecting regrets, especially when they were marked down a year after its release.
(In fact, I may still be interested in getting one for that price should the opportunity come up. 😉)
Man, this turned out so much better than I expected! I thought I would be fine just having the old Toys Works version, but the Frank Miller Daredevils were the first comic books I went nuts for as a kid, so I can't let this one slip by me.
I regret missing my chance to get this from Giantoy...
Popcultcha is also having a 20% off sale on all in-stock action figures through Monday, September 26. They just shipped nearly $2000 worth of pre-orders I’ve had with them throughout the year, so their warehouse must be packed to the rafters right now.
I just placed my pre-order for the deluxe web exclusive. At only 200 pieces, I didn't want to miss out on this version, which is actually listed at €348.36 on Infinite's website (deposit was €40.98). Was there a last-minute price correction?
