That's the original flux capacitor with the standard 3mm bulb led switched out for a 3mm blinking white led. The only changes I made to the kit parts were a little paint here and there.
It's a super easy swap but this isn't one of the complete flux capacitor aftermarket replacements out there...
So I put some self-stick velvet on the floorpan to simulate carpeting - which looks way more realistic IMO but it's definitely a shadow or two too dark. I've found some light grey velvet material that I'm hoping will match the rest of the interior parts better (not interested in doing a total...
The wiring wasn't my favorite part to do but it's actually easier than it looks. A few of the wire bundles are already attached to one another so they are fairly easy to do. The ones on the dash weave through the black blocks which take more time to do but give you uniform spacing.
I was...
Work in the interior has commenced and I'm finding the details pretty accurate so far. One pleasant surprise was finding out the seats are made of vinyl with a foam backing so that they actually feel like real seats…
Most of the assembly of the interior is pretty straight forward. One...
I'm slowly building the Eaglemoss Delorean kit and I thought I'd share my experiences building the Delorean for anyone interested. I've tried to document the progress periodically but I admit I've let a few boxes pile up and busting through like 15% of the kit in a weekend. Here's some of the...
Been working on the Eaglemoss Delorean kit and made a little time-lapse video showing the frame and suspension build. It's a very large and detailed kit - and it's definitely heavy, doc!
This summer has been pure chaos but things are beginning to chill out so I've managed to get some progress on my build.
Looks like the stripped remains of an astromech droid right now but it's actually coming together.
Dome frame is done and ready for electronic doodads to be installed...
It sure does. You can even smudge it very thinly over the other blue areas and it leaves behind a slight metallic sheen.
Yeah, atleast for this kit. You can get away with not sealing it on parts that won't be touched much but the silver on blue rubs off with handling.
Definitely agree. It's...
This is probably the part I'm most looking forward to getting.
Most impressive! The nut and bolt system that holds the skull ribs in place were tricky for me at times.
I got some Tamiya weathering chalks to help add some character to R2D2's leg. I think they've definitely helped make the...
That is a bummer and I can understand why some would elect to wait until the full kit is available. It could be a supply problem on Deago's end (I had ordered some soylent powder recently and they were going to wait three week to ship it - without telling me - because they were out of the free...
I almost went for the Falcon but decided Artoo was a bit more what I was looking for. The Falcon kit does look pretty good. How far are you along on the build?
Should be when all done. Smart phone control or autonomous mode. Even has a pop-up light saber hidden in him.
That sucks. I did read...
