I’ve never seen Hot Toys or almost any other 1/6 figure manufacturer ever announce the actual run size of any of their figure lines. The only specific exception I can think of off the top of my head is Asmus with their LOTR line a few years back. I don’t think it’s customary at all for ac1/6...
Seven of Nine required unique, outsourced parts. Nanjin could only get a certain amount of those parts, which put a cap on the number of her that could be made. She’s the only figure like that by EXO thus far.
Sales seem fine to me. I think it’s worth noting that Janeway is the ONLY Exo-6 figure Sideshow offered discounts on with their holiday sales, while they desperately try to unload Hot Toys like there’s no tomorrow.
You were expecting less than $175 somehow? When was the last time you saw a figure at that price from -any- major licensed property? Hot Toys was charging that much a decade ago.
I don’t really understand all the saltiness about these TMP figures either. I ordered figures from Hot Toys nearly 3 years ago that still haven’t shipped—TMP figures announced earlier this year shipping at the end of the same year is like a freaking miracle. These are the best turnaround times...
I think that Weyoun runs into a huge problem because of the show he’s from, though. While Shran is unquestionably the #1 most popular character in Enterprise not on the main crew, Weyoun may not be in the top 5 or possibly even top 10 most popular non-crew members in DS9 with characters like...
