I'll never buy a platform for something my pc can run. I wasted enough money on consoles in the past, just so they can release a bigger, better version two years later. Besides, look at all of the 360's MS shipped that were bad.
I wasn't as impressed with this one as I was Lurtz, so I'm going to pass on it. Morris's photoshop skills are great, and it looks dead on. By the way, no ring, no elven brooch? What gives? Next...
This is pretty much a no brainer. All of these statues, figures, premiums, whatever, are represenative of the film characters. If the likeness isn't there, it loses it's appeal. It's true that some look better in person, but some are way off.
Honestly, I knew Sideshow would get this right. Their roots go back into the early days of resin Garage Kits, and they have some of the best sculptors and artists currently working for them. Not to knock Weta, but I wish SS ahd done the LOTR polystone line themselves.Congratulations Sideshow...
As happy as I am with Barad dur, I'll be ordering this for sure. The given dimensions puts it roughly at twice the size of the Weta gift set piece. I was hoping Orthanc would have been next, but I'm not complaining...
He won this from my ebay auction a while back. Too bad I didn't know he was going to recast it. I guess you never know once you sell something. Kind of ironic it was mine, because I'm strictly opposed to recasting.
I agree that the first of the 1/4 scale mixed media pieces will have to be the ones that sell the rest of the line, so my guess is Gandalf or Frodo and a Ringwraith. I'm excited about these, but I don't plan to drop $450 on any of them because the prices are getting too rediculious. They...
Well, not wanting one due to the fact that no one from Weta was involved in creating it makes no sense. Weve seen some less than impressive things that they did make, so this could only be a win/win situation, and I know Rick will get the right people on it, and they are just as, if not more...
