I was trying to hold out, but seeing as how their Alien 1:3 line had such low edition numbers (even the rerelease), I doubt it. Looks like it didn't sell great, so now I question if P1 will question if it is worth the effort.
Oh. Ok. I think something similar was done for the Dark Knight Joker, etc. So maybe they don't want to be redundant.
However, if you pay close attention to the Predator 1:3, it too has a "boring underbase". It's just overshadowed by the great environmental base above.
A very good sign!
I'm very excited for this update, and it basically cemented my order.
I see the point regarding the base.
To me though, it only needs some blackwashing and dry brushing to bring out the details. It's very scene accurate.
This looks.... nice. It's not the end-all I was hoping it would be, but if amended or affordably priced it will certainly be added to my collection. I like it, but it looks just like a larger rendition of the HotToys 1/4 version. Not bad, but not great.
I'd keep my order if I were you.
I ordered through Sideshow and received mine a while back.
I was hyped, but to see in my home was mindblowing. Even the wife whom usually could care less was present for the entire unboxing/setup, and was admiring the details in the base and details on the...
Lol The irony of an add being right above your post, the subject matter in correlation with your Avatar / Board name.
In my mind, I'm like... "Uhhh, how about No Thanks!"
Jeez! This forum is becoming almost un-usable. So many pop-ups and videos all over the page. What's going on?!
I only have about 2 inches of my screen where I can actually view what you guys are saying.
Was planning to either go the route of having a pedestal built, or use one of those racks, but encased with glass or acrylic. Your mock-up looks great! I'd opt for a rectangular shelf though because the corner ones usually end up with dead space at the rear.
I have 2 small children and a large...
I own the Enterbay & HotToys T800, and while the HT rendition is still ok... the Enterbay one's clothes look like they "need a vacation".
Medicom Spawn's cape is all but powder, and HT Salvation John Connor's pleather jacket can be mistaken for ash.
All this to say that I've learnt my lesson...
They all look great!
To me, Scar's base & switch-outs makes it the one to get.
Ugh, I shudder to think of how much it'd cost to complete the 1:3 Predator line.
Where would one display them all?
On!
Would get this ONLY if the outfit is made of real leather.
I'm done with biodegradable collectables.
(Looks over at the dust that was once HotToys J C Bomber Jacket)
