I just wanted to provide an update. My alcohol treated Begins figure looks exactly the same as it did the day I did it. I have fully inspected it and I see nothing detrimental to the rubber suit.

Aa far as rubbing the paint off, in order to do a new paint job you would have to prep the rubber suit with something. Whether that is alcohol, mineral spirits or acetone... you would have to take that shine off no matter what. After two weeks week my alcohol figure is holding up just fine...
I really wanted to like these figures. And in some ways I do. But the inaccuracies stand out to me like a sore thumb.

Hey. So DeanKnight posted a new video discussing it. As far as what I did, I just wet a small section of a micro fiber cloth and then gently rubbed it on the suit in sections to remove the shininess. It maybe took all of 5 minutes.

I used a microfiber cloth and simply wet it and wiped it down. I want to go back over it once more to get some parts that were missed but it made the figure tolerable. In this scale there is really no option...
