Both of mine were loose. The RHS one was glued but came loose like it didn't stick to the inside of the gauntlet properly. No big deal, once it's positioned, it's not going to move.
Mine arrived today & I simply love it. :)
Apologies for the photo, haven't put it in the cabinet yet. Only slight complaint is that the green arm cuffs (is that what they're called?) are loose. The glue they used didn't stick to the inner smooth plastic properly. I could glue it again but I...
Surely this decal can be removed?
I know it's no excuse and it's bloody annoying that SS put the damn thing on crooked, but if it's too much to bear for some of you, just print another emblem on a white vinyl sticker sheet & stick it on. Problem solved.
It'll probably end up looking better...
I haven't noticed this. I've preordered a couple of statues through them & they haven't increased the price. I also look back every now & then & the prices never went up, maybe it's only for certain statues. :dunno
Anyways, I'd get your preorder in now because $600 is a great price considering...
Agreed, that's why I just settled for the regular. I'll be saving close to $200 buying it locally here in Australia as opposed to poor dollar conversion & getting one shipped from the states.
I'm not fussed on the blue, looks pretty good & can't wait to have it in hand.
Wished they would've taken the new photos from the same angles or at least close to it. It looks like they've completely changed the pose too! :slap
I did check mine & it definitely doesn't look like the one pictured here. I don't think it was broken though, I'm not sure how these are made, but it seems like not enough of the plaster material flowed into the tail end of the mold. This would result in part of it appearing to be not as thick...
Thanks, I wasn't going to request a replacement (AFAIK they don't have any left anyways), just a partial refund due to their dodgy workmanship. :wink1:
Just a question, do Sideshow provide a warranty of some sort against paint defects? I was admiring my T-rex the other day & noticed what I thought was a bit of dirt or fluff on one of the toes. I gave it a gentle wipe and the paint came straight off!
Obviously this part wasn't painted...
Thanks, there were a lot of chips left over, impossible to find where they belong. My other son managed to break the head off the corpse dino already. :thud:
It's not like it's a sellable product and any normal person can clearly see it had been smashed. It's a different story to a six year old.
As some of you may remember, I got a replacement EX a little while ago & as such had to smash my old one.
Well, my son found the old bits & wanted me to fix it for him. Tada! :clap
While not perfect, it resembles a T-rex at least. He'll be happy. :wink1: If I have time, I might bog up...
