Also I never said Daredevil had to have black for it too work... My point was it that because his suit is always shaded that way the black does not look that off for this piece.. It works IMO

If peeps don't like the suit because it strays too far from the comic then I get that.. Personally I think it looks better then any of the DD 1/4 scale statues out there.. I owned the SSC comiquette and the XM DD... This piece blows them away IMO and some of that, for me, is because of the interesting color choices.

The black and red IMO work well together and I think I am accepting of it because of the way the comic is colored.

Yup! They should've did DD just like they did the new Spidey PF. Keep the colors correct on a updated costume. If this DD PF was all red, I believe it would've looked better and sold more units.

If it was all red, even with the modern look, the Ex would probably be sold out.

Hopefully it doesn't go on WL anytime soon. (I don't think it will though.)
 
Just preordered this yesterday. I really like the mix of red and black. I like the angry head sculpt and broken window part of the base too.

I guess I hadn't paid very close attention to this, as I had it in the back of my mind to probably PO. Having some black elements didn't really bug me. Until I took a good long look at it on a bigger screen. The thigh/crotch panels are pretty awful, and whatever is happening on his back makes no sense at all. In fact, I went from I need a DD, to, no thanks. Just really bad art direction on this. Almost new Batman level bad.
 
Ive been going back and forth for months with this and the new supes pf. Was leaning for supes. Now im back on DD. This fits better witg my wolverine pf amd spidey pf tho. Hmmmmmmm

Can’t wait. I’m excited to get mine. Looks really good and I’m actually a fan of the suit they made. Cool blend of comic and tv show to me.

This turned out amazing! Sideshow is seriously stepping up their game. I think the competition from Prime 1, XM, and Iron Studios has been a great thing for collectors because it has forced Sideshow to deal with some of their QC issues and lack-luster sculpts.

I keep saying the Punisher is going to be my last 1/4, but this would make a great companion piece. If I can pick up the regular version of Daredevil at discount, I might have to. :gah:
 
no one is concerned by how bright that red is? doesn't look like the proto paint to me.

hopefully it is just the lighting...
