So I just got this guy in and he's incredible. Just one odd complaint, This is my first Hot Toys figure where the skin tone isn't on the tan side, which is cool but he looks sort of odd next to any figure pre- Infinity war figures because of it. Is it just me who feels that way?

This guy came in on Thursday and it’s a pretty nice figure, even if the posing restrictions are less than ideal. Still it’s IW Thor so I had to get it. The bare arms are never coming back out of the box but I don’t really mind since I like the armored up look more anyways. That being said, does anyone know if the armored arms rotate? It looks like they do in the promo images but I haven’t been able to rotate them.

I can’t get **** for rotation in the arms on mine. It really bugs me because right now he’s posed next to Concept Cap who has amazing arm articulation. I think there are 2 reasons there’s basically minimal articulation in Thor’s armored arms: 1. They had to sacrifice the butterfly joint (not really but including them would have made swapping arms a pain and would have seen major returns). 2. They went for the perfect armored look on the arms so that bunching up with rotation is minimized.

Honestly I still think that Roadworn Thor is best sleeveless version and TDW regular is best armored Thor. Just In my opinion. Still loving this figure but I needed to wire the cape and I’m not using those “lightning circles” on his body. I’m honestly thinking of converting him into “Team Groot Thor” and hoping that Endgame Thor has better articulation for use with Stormbreaker.

Love that shot...great use of light and shadow on the face to enhance the Hemsworth likeness.

I haven't decided on this guy yet (still have him sealed in the box), but if I do keep him, that's the look I will aim for (+ Stormbreaker).

I’m pretty sure I’m going to switch to that look as well (without Stormbreaker). There’s just not enough articulation to make him look natural posed with the axe unless you just go for the default:

Love this Thor. Posing is restricted but Im a museum poser so it doesnt bother me at all(I should just start collecting PF)
20181210_135834.jpg Sorry dont know how to straighten the pic

I've often thought the same with me, lol... but PF are too expensive and too large for my space... and tbh I generally think Hot Toys do a better likeness of the faces with their figures.

I love this figure, but is there any reason why they couldn't make his head and neck one solid piece?

Seems kinda silly for HT to go through the effort to give us these seamless arms, but then still have his head and neck as 2 separate pieces, which destroys the illusion that this isn't a toy.

I’m pretty sure it’s for the articulation. Without a separate neck joint, this figure would be even more limited than it already is and some people like to pose him looking downward or upward which would be almost impossible on this body without a separate neck joint.

My IW Thor with light mods (removed lightning effects from chest circles, used the removed lightning on Stormbreaker and body and added wires at the top and bottom of the cape). I’m still waiting on the custom 8.25 inch light up Stormbreaker.

At least with it being separate you can mod the length of the neck if you so wish. Now if only the collar wasn't so tall.

I’d like to remove those too, they just make it look too toyish. Though, the only way is to break them apart from the circle pieces right? I mean there is no other way? And if you want to sell the figure later on, it will be a significant price drop reason.

I wish HT made those effects a seperate, attachable piece.
