Forgive me if it’s been posted before, but has anyone put her in this pose with the cloak and the GK sword and shield yet?

That’s the pose I plan on having her in, so I was just curious as to what it looks like.

I can do it..but why bother..it’s been done already :wink1:

Too say she doesn’t resemble her at all is ridiculous

Oops..!

All of those observable ratios are completely changed by expression, mood, and even how a person might feel on a particular day. But the human power to discern facial identity transcends those variables (so you can still recognize you Mom when she’s feeling sick or bloated). That’s why we put more stock in the human eye than in a cheap program. And in a 2-D image, these set measurements are easily defeated by lighting and camera angle.

Even CIA grade recognition tech has to be overseen and approved by agents before any intel is actionable (uhhh.... pretend I didn’t say anything about this in public....yeah. This was never said)

So as above, an actual photo of Gal that doesn’t quite match up to the classic look we now associate with her COMPLETELY CONFOUNDS the CelebsLikeUs algorithm. So using this site as a tool to try to settle a likeness “argument” is pretty worthless.

I sure hope this is the last time I have to say this (but I know it won’t be) arguing likeness is a fools errand. Despite some opinions, it is decidedly NOT a mathematical construct. It is intuitive and just about ENTIRELY subjective. Can we please stop trying to prove it to be otherwise? All the passionate back on forth only serves to PROVE THIS POINT more emphatically!!

We’re all (we’ll, most of us are) enthusiastically happy discuss various opinions on the quality of likeness or cool-factors of any figure, because we KNOW there will be many. And for most of us, that variance of opinion is in no way offensive!

But to the few how can’t stand to hear a point of view that differs with theirs without feeling a base need to attack, impugn, or insult.... I invite you to step back. This forum has always tried to be a group of friends with shared interests discuss their passion for this hobby. Let’s all do our best to try to keep it that way.

Just to be clear. I have a disagreement with Tyranus on the the nature of facial recognition, but no argument with him. Most of that post above was directed to a real “My way, or the highway” post we had a page or two back.

Still waiting for overseas (UK) stockists to have this and Deadpool 2. Hopefully both arrive before Christmas. Good to see so many say she looks good in-hand, as is usually the way just lately.

Got my wonder woman deluxe edition today from sideshow, just saw a quick look at the figure. I must have to say it looks great in person, lot better resemblance to gal Gadot and the skin is not shiny

My take on the iconic photoshoot pic..I noticed in both scenes the outer robe straps weren't present.. so I took them out

Thanks for this! That's exactly how I plan to display her when I finally get mine.

Here is a repaint of the original JL sculpt for your consideration. My only complaint is that I think they over did the scowl lines between her eyes just a skosh...
