Exactly. I totally don't get the whole dye job thing. I'd never want a figure of mine to be sullied like that. Even the idea of using soap to clean a figure....yep, right in the trash. Just can't stand the idea of stuff like that getting on my figures, or some permanent modification..other than something like adding the missing silver button to Dengar's holster strap.

I'm the exact opposite. Most of the time the stock figure is just the starting point for me. It's nice, but too pristine and often inaccurate when it comes to the really fine details. Customizing it also makes it unique in a way, as I can give it my own personal touch. I guess it makes it less of a mass produced collectible in my eyes.

I don't have Boba in hand yet so I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure I will give the suit a light dye. I usually want my figures to look as they appeared on screen. If color filters were used in post processing, that's the look I want reflected. I can understand wanting accuracy to the actual prop, but since won't be able to recreate the lighting conditions in my display, that's not the final look I want.

i second that emotion. i got into 1/6 when hot toys was doing 1/6 "model kits", and having some experience in scale models and a fine arts "degree", i've treated them as such ever since. i'm confident in my painting and weathrring, but this is my first time doing any dyeing so through trail and terror i'm learning that skill. i prepared for the inevitability of failure and expirementation by buying several parted out flight suits from the animated boba. the joy i get out of it is the learning and refinement and a goal one day to be able to turn out results like mchaleyart (however far off that is). but, yknow, to each their own. i'm surely not helping the resale value of any figures i own.

Doubt it. The feet look different

To me the feet look the same, just with the fur moved forward. But, since Han has a whole new outfit showcased here (with New Hope head) maybe that's a whole new Chewie. I still haven't gotten one, if this ESB Chewie comes with Threepio in pieces and a net for Chewie to carry him in, for sure will pre-order.

Hey, if anyone is interested in the vest w/cape piece, PM me. I got one from Toy Anxiety when they initially got the figure in. My plan was to repaint the chest armor, but decided not to.

I want to transfer my SS Fett on a better body. Does anyone know how that works; considering the back armor piece is held in place with screws on the figure. Not sure if ppl just ditched the screws or drilled holes in the back of the other body.

Nice photo. Looks like Popcultcha have caught up on their orders a bit!

I assume this is still the deluxe, which they have in stock for about a month. They haven't released the standard yet which is infuriating.

I received my ESB Boba Fett and he's looking great in my Bespin carbonite chamber (made by JazzInc for the Detolf case).

The JazzInc diorama makes for incredible ambiance and lighting (I have it hooked up to smart plugs so I can toggle off the other Detolf LEDs and just have the floor lighting). It looks great in person, but unfortunately it's a bit tougher to photograph at low light.
