Statue 1/3 Prime 1 Studio - Jim Lee - Superman

I haven't seen one positive comment about the ivy on the neck. Hopefully Prime 1 can accommodate. Sculpted for me in terms of which to buy.

I haven't ordered the Batman statue yet. I think I'm going to wait for the black variant. I am really considering getting both the sculpted and fabric cape versions of Superman though.

Love everything but the vines on the heat-vision portrait. P1 has listened intently on this piece, here’s hoping they can hear us on this as well.

Why would you buy both?

1) I like both capes.
2) Two gives me the option to display a couple of the heads at once instead of switching them out (which I never end up doing anyway)
3) I figure I can put one with Doomsday until the actual Superman companion piece is released and have one displayed with the Hush statues.
4) There aren't near as many Superman statues as there are Batman statues, so I want have as many as I can.
5) I have enough reward points to get one of them for free.

Seriously, the base is wider than Doomsday's. It has to be close to 40".

No way is it 40". The Miller Bats is only 22". Look at the pic a few posts above yours. He basically has half a base, and Bats has the other half.

It's almost 35", I was close. I don't even know where I'd display something that wide.

Am I the only one who isn’t really getting a Jim Lee vibe from the portraits? They all strike me as being more “random deviantart guy anime Superman,” for some reason. It’s a beautiful statue, for the most part, but something about the faces kind of turns me off of it.

Great looking statue. I originally had no interest but the portraits turned out great (except the heat vision vine portrait) and the price is more than fair for this big of a piece. The base will probably be too long for me though so we'll see.

Ordered the sculpted version today. I was actually leaning (no pun intended) towards fabric, but having looked at the pictures of the cape attachments, I figure you can always have a custom fabric cape made, that fits into the "keyhole" for the sculpted cape.
You can't really do it the other way around, so this is the best solution for me

Still can't see any info on if the angels are removable. Hopefully they attach by magnets and can just be left off.

I will say I can't pass this up. That being said however if they just took away a little of the grittyness and age from Superman to make it more comic Superman accurate this would be perfect. I'm sure someone can make a custom. I like a tough Superman but they could remove a few of the wrinkles. Comic books are done so well because Superman is imposing but still has that youthful look that Superman has. So in the end I'm not sure if anything will be done and I have to buy it as is but they should consider minor portrait revisions to n make it less Frank Castle, I agree.

I mean, it’s not bad, and they all look great together, but I think you nailed it when you said it’s more Frank Castle than Clark Kent. It’s okay to have a tough Superman, but this dude looks like he could make Miller’s TDKR Bats piss himself.

Already mentioned a few pages back that they probably will be as it is on all the other Arkham Prime 1 statues. Not 100% confirming but most likely.

I like the rugged look they have given him here. If they fix the heat vision sculpt this will be the perfect Superman for me.
