XM just showed off their Brown costume Wolverine which looks nuts

Yeah, I can't tell which I like more. It's hard to compare since one is costumes and the other isn't, but both really hold their own. XM is really giving us A LOT of options. Be sure to thank them with your checkbook. :lol j/k

I think I like Weapon X more just because I think it represents the character so well and the ground breaking water effect. Brown Wolverine represents the character as well but I think Weapon X is just so innovative that it has to be considered above Brown Wolverine

I agree with you on the water effect. It definitely adds a lot of value and wow factor. It's one of those pieces that you have to wonder how they could have done better, knowing there's not much more.

Didn’t weta do a similar thing with Gollum were there is a translucent water effect with fishes in it that looks like real water

Man, if they did, it was a long time ago and I don't remember it having the affect on me like this one did.

They had a life size Gollum that looked awesome - he was holding a fish, but I don't remember the water effects.

They also had a Watcher in the Water piece with cool water effects, but again, not 'wow factor'-ish, IMO.

Wow ...the applications you could use this technique on. Would love to know how they did this. Impressed!

The guy who sculpted the LOTR piece worked on the movies as well??

Yes his name is Jamie Beswarick. for the last 20 years his worked on all 6 movies but also won awards for Avatar and District 9. Well Most of the Weta staff worked on the movie sets also.

****. That's quite the resume. To be honest, I had never even heard of him. So he's obviously involved with character design?

District 9 was such a treat, an underappreciated gem.

Any pics of the pieces in box (before assembly)? I'm curious how many parts this comes in.

The water effect is there. Probably because of lighting you can’t see it so well
