Wow this vader looks great. Of what is he made of and what scale? I never dealt with Gentle Giant before. :)

I sold this statue last year. It is 1/6 and there is a regular colors version as well. Gentle Giant used to make great stuff, now they are kinda dormant

I was a little surprised this won Statue of the Year, not because it isn't a stellar piece, only because Prime 1 DKR or XM Cable had so much more "hype" for the past year.

Either way I'm loving this piece.

I've had this like a month now and still am blown away every time I look at it. My saber doesn't buzz.

I was happy to see it get 2017 Statue of the year over on Statue Forum. Glad I voted, especially seeing how close the finals were. Vader is just such an iconic character and IS captured him perfectly.

Same here, still stop in my tracks to look at him. I played around with Vader's cape yesterday and I think it's finally how I want it.:lol Your cape looks great btw.

It's an amazing statue and definitely statue of the year.

Question for you guys. I started playing around with different arm combinations last night and noticed that some of the left ( magnetized) arms were not flush with the shoulder. They stay in strong but just wobble a bit and don't appear as flush as others. Anyone else have that problem and any recommendations on what could be done if anything? The magnet peg looks same on all arms to me. Not oversized or anything.

In 12 years of collecting I had to break my first base and found that stuff. No big deal, if SSC doesn't have to pay as much money for polystone that's cool.

If you are referring to my post, I'm not, these are pics I've seen on Statue Forum, those bases are indeed filled with remains and debris from other things. You want heavy polystone bases? You got them LOL

Wish I knew that earlier. I could have broke open my base, maybe get lucky with a valuable prototype head, say the base came broken and then get a replacement base. The gift that keeps on giving.

This masterpiece deserved a proper display and decided to go get him a nice Pax setup.

Note to self: get to home depot some wire hider

I find it unsettling to think that a statue base in my home might be filled with severed limbs and heads.

:horror

Finally got this in the mail and got a chance to open it up. I got number 990. It is amazing. The light a in the belt doesn’t work though. I’m going to pick up some new batteries tomorrow to hopefully fix the issue.
