What makes you think its not like every other arm with LED saber?

Just look at the description and the picture with all the accessories. On Luke, Rey, Kylo, etc they show the arm piece, with Vader, only the lightsaber.

Does anyone else think that HT is getting ready to rerelease Luke Bespin maybe as a single figure (no battle damaged second figure), with an exclusive CC Gantry Base to connect with Vader's base??

The original banner said Japan Limited edition... but usually when HT says 'limited' it ends up being very much available.

That said, I'd grab one when it goes up for preorder just in case.

I’ve noticed that within the last year and a half (basically since TFA) that the supply of Hot Toys within the Japanese market has been lower across the board but especially with Star Wars figures. Most of the Star Wars figures since TFA have sold out on preorder here within a few weeks of going up while I see them still available on nearly all of the usual sites in the USA.

Perhaps the “Japan limited” was simply meant to convey that the numbers in Japan will be limited. Or, the figure will be released in Japan before other markets and the limited refers to the first wave. Who knows.

On the topic of Japan, I have a question. Was the Copper Chrome Stormtrooper ever sold through Sideshow or any other American site?
It was announced on the website and sold in Japan but I don’t recall it ever being available on BBTS or Sideshow.

Usually when HT fully reveals a new figure on their facebook page, we get a preorder from SS the same day. With tomorrow being Thanksgiving and SS probably being off until Monday, preorder next week???

Interesting. Maybe the slightly larger Vader saber allows for that weird slim battery? That definitely eliminates a problem... but probably will create a new one -- like where the heck can you find replacement batteries?

Despite looking very good (and bulky enough) if I have to nitpick this is one of the few (or maybe the only) promo shots that can be mistaken for movie stills at first sight:

I don't know what is giving it away for me in the other pics. Exaggerate pleats? Cape hanging good but no realistically good? Hands a bit on the small side?

I wouldn’t be surprised if this doesn’t end up having a full reveal portrait. After all, we didn’t see the details of the front of the Vader mask in ESB or the seams were it’s taken apart as it is in ROTJ...both are shown in these prototype pics.

Ha ha ha! I know. I’m just the eternal optimist, I guess. I remember the good ol’ days, when 1/6 figures would come standard with plenty of extras. Before the dark times. Before the empire!

Vader's base is not accurate -- its a mash-up of familiar bits from the gantry, and has nowhere to connect really. I suppose they could make a similar mash-up of the part Luke hangs on to. That would be a very limiting stand though for Luke.

But don't worry, there's guys around here already planning a full gantry for your Vader and Luke face-off.
