Link won't work for me, but I take it it's not good? LOL.

They got the hair style right this time, but the face looks worse now.

If they can't get KA Kim to do their Hermiones they should get the woman who sculpted Newt, Quidditch and POA Harry, and Hot Toys Arkham Joker. She does solid work.

To be fair the lighting sucked.

I did notice this too the lighting was awful and made her look washed out. I'm seeing hints of freckles on her too and skin detailing but you can barely tell with the lighting. The head pose too is awkward and is faced up really far. I wish they would release some new photos on Facebook that showcase what this really looks like in some better settings...and while they are at it toss that dementor head sculpt in the trash and redo it so its accurate and completely sculpted. Hell even that three and three quarter inch Popco figure from 2007 is a million times better than that monstrosity they showcased.

That Lucius is perfect to me though - if he ends up looking like that I would be thrilled. I wonder how bellatrix will end up. Her hair is all up and wild so I almost hop they do sculpted hair on that piece because matted and curly rooted hair may end up being a mess to deal with. I'm having flashbacks to the Tonner Bellatrix figure and it looked way too clean and curly. I kind of hope it ends up like the NECA Bellatrix figure with it all sculpted and up.

It's been so quiet lately for HP collectibles. Really hope this line isn't dying out.

It would be nice if the line died, licences get sold to Hot Toys, then rejoice

See, I feel like if this Star Ace line dies, it's dead for either a long time or for good.

I never had any faith Hot Toys would go anywhere near HP figures myself. Though that would have been amazing. Still, even if they did, they probably would have just done the trio and stopped there. They sometimes have the weirdest gaps in figures, like with Rogue One.

I personally desperately want the Trio, but it disturbs me that there is a gap between Hermione/Ron+Harry (my perception, that Kim guy made Hermione too good, ruined things) - so a Hot Toys trio would be minimally acceptable :)

As a pure fantasy/dream, I wonder what would be the ideal line-up/year for Harry Potter figures, it would probably be the first year or the second year for me, and for some reason I want a Luna Lovegood figure too, maybe a The Three Broomsticks diaroma with 3rd year figures, that would be beyond awesome

When you think about it, Harry Potter figures seem to be challenging, since they grew up every year, but things were more magical early on, the atmosphere was brighter, so personally I would go after that

The inconsistent quality of some of StarAce's sculpts and their sudden jump to the 1/8 line is frustrating. But I must give Star Ace credit for fleshing out the line with a diverse cast of figures and most of the major characters.

Hot Toys does some amazing figures but like you mentioned, they'll often release a couple figures before abandoning the line... With a property like Beauty and the Beast, Hot Toys released Belle but no word on Beast... Rogue One never got Cassian... The Force Awakens never got Poe (although I think they teased him for Last Jedi)... Will we ever see those Valerian prototypes or the 1966 Batmobile? the list goes on.

I guess my point is, every company has pros and cons. But it's still great to a collector today compared to what was available even 5-10 years ago.

I hope they streamline things in an additional 5-10 years, even now, their capacity is super low, and I assume their process is unable to scale, otherwise, Hot Toys should've scaled already

Maybe then, we could get some proper remakes

HT would be horrible for this license. They’d make Fudge and Filch and then cancel the line due to poor sales. Star Ace is the only chance of Amy Potter figures for the foreseeable future.

This. My biggest fear is that HT picks up the license. They have such sporadic releases and strange character selections. We would get 1-2 figures a year which is worse than the couple a year we are currently getting with SA. I just hope SA gets us a McGonagall, Bellatrix, Umbridge, Luna and Lupin and then I'll be content. Anything else past those five would be an added bonus in my eyes.

There is no way Hot Toys would touch this license now. If they didn't bother while the films were in theaters, why would they now?

It's Star Ace or nothing, and for that I'm grateful. I just hope they actually hire people who watched the movies so that they can help the figure out what they're doing with these releases and to stop them when they're clearly ****ing up the likeness. I'm still annoyed that they keep showing the 1/8 Triwizard Harry with the broom at conventions, but the actual release doesn't come with the ****ing broom, which is the point of the whole ****ing sequence.
