There are other tips that will help as well per usual SSC has no clue about, but it’s nice they gave you some response, but it’s pretty much a sum of what the already prewritten instructions suggest

Guyver1 where do you find that info (other tips et) ? Did you just Google search "action figure rubber body care and maintenance?" Thanks man. JD

I agree with Guyver1's statements. It (the paint) peels off like skin does after a sunburn. But it doesn't hurt the overall paint job. I don't own any of Hot Toys previous attempts at seamless body figures, so I don't know how bad the peeling skin issue can get. Right now, I still love this figure, I'm grateful Sideshow cares enough to respond to a question about it (even though the answer is generic), but I'm nervous about handling WW as a result.

Trial and error buddy..I’ve had plenty of experience dealing with different seamless bodies for years, i’m Talking different brands and different types, Phicen, Dollfie, Hot Stuff, etc and different texture bodies like pure silicon which is the worst and a lint magnet , not to mention the skin tone becomes yellowish in about a year’s time.

So I know different techniques to preserve these bodies, but as I said, this HT developed seamless is one of the best I’ve owned and I don’t see it becoming a huge problem in the long run.

That is from rubbing the skin in tight areas.seen it before..very minor

When it gets this bad is when you should really worry

G1 I'm sure you are right/I trust your experience with seamless bodies. I don't have that much experience with them outside of Phicen's offerings. And even those are so new to me I'm still in the trial and error phase of learning. I like very much what Hot Toys produced for this figure. And I'm (probably in OCD mode) doing all I can to keep it from deteriorating.

I dont know where I read it, but I think someone confirmed that Hot toys actually did not use rubber bodies like phicen.
I believe they used some type of soft plastic, so that it would be durable.

It is gross..i’m Not afraid to point it out and the worst part is I did not expect this from a reliable company like Phicen, let alone their seamless bodies. The one that I pictured above was a design that maybe is only a year or two old

Another Phicen issue..someone worried about paint issues with WW..don’t bother because there are none, but Phicen well





I don’t think using a Phicen is the best choice for a more articulated WW

even the generic attempts to top the articulation doesn't hold up IMO..






No figure company so far can hold a candle to what HT has produced even with the minor flaws

Yikes, that generic one looks like one of those figures you can pick up at toys r us.

Yes, I'm very happy with this HT Wonder Woman.
She's a beautiful figure.

I have about 300$ in reward points at SS...really figuring the urge to pull the trigger on this one....wanted to save those dollars for when the DeLorean pt2 drops, IF EVER..

Looks like the layer of paint that hot toys sprays on to give the faint blemishes/ freckles. At least the mold color isn't completely different. Moral of the story have to be careful with the figure. I doubt hot toys can improve that on any future figures.

Don't feel bad either though, the points are great and if you are buying the figures anyway it's nice to be able save up the points to get something that feels like a 'free' bonus. I preordered Jedi Luke all with points I saved up and it felt great to be able to know I will be getting such a meaningful figure to my collection essentially for free as a "reward" for collecting figure I would have bought anyway.

I usually save my rewards up for free figs too, but this year I just settled for a hefty discount on Diecast Iron Man MKVI. Last time I'd redeemed rewards they covered Hot Toys Ep. 4 Darth Vader in full. Only paid shipping. I love the rewards system!
