My T. rex breakout arrived yesterday. #133 :) Sorry for the poor image quality. I had to use the camera on my mobile phone.

Ok... I'm quite impressed!

Solid little piece. Posts and wires are metal which is a nice touch.
Pity the head wasn't painted as well as the body but I like it. Needs to look wetter which I'll ponder.
Satin or Gloss?...

Will fit in nicely with my, mainly, Predator collection.

Will take some pictures when I get chance.

I went with a clear, satin finish. It gives the Rex a slight sheen that I was looking for. If your looking for a more shiny, "wet" look, then gloss would be the better option.

Good stuff, glad it turned out well. If I'm not mistaken you sport your pieces in Bestås – any chance you can check whether the Rex fits in a standard cube? Cheers

Got mine a few days ago and absolutely love the sculpt, the paint job, the intricate details and the roaring pose, this is what I have imagined and hoped it would look and boy is it breathtaking. Pictures really don't do it justice, you get to see so much more in person and truly appreciate what it's on offer here. Worth the premium price? To me it does.

Also contemplating about going gloss/satin/semi gloss or not, the neutral color scheme is good as it is and I'm getting really used to it now, but some semi gloss might make it pop more, hmm.

^ Nice. Surprised they made the cable so rigid. Gonna try and sort mine later.

Had a can of Satin spray in my Amazon basket but pulled out last minute. Just ordered a Spinner instead :lol

He took decent pictures.

Still has the sloppy paint issues around the head & mouth, as seen on all of them, but it's a nice piece if you look past those areas.
Arm seams are pretty poor also.

This piece looks pretty good but definitely not worth the asking price and not the high quality 'Toynami - best in the business' piece promised.

You mind do some comparison shots of the Dinosauria T Rex and this one Bob? Interested to see just how much better Sideshow's offering is.

Nice pics!!! Love you eye!

Seems like you got a real good one there BUT the left arm bugs me. Dunno if it's the angle or something else, but the paint color difference is major!!! The right arm is done properly.

I'll take some pics if I get a chance really later.

On the other end, I impulse bought a shady listing if the Amber Mosasaur on eBay for under $200 shipped. The seller has dozens of them and I figured it wouldn't be real, but as it's eBay I can't really get scammed as a buyer.

Just got it yesterday and it was perfect. Looks entirely legit and makes me regret buying this terrible CC statue even more.

Why did you think that listing was "shady", the guy has impeccable feedback?

Because he continues to have supply after the original listing had sold out of all it's stock (5+) and he's selling them for seriously cheap prices when there's only 400.

Either way I'm happy, it turned out way better than I expected.

After the whole Toynami ordeal I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. And had I not ordered and paid for it last year, I probably wouldn't have bought it after all the in hand pics. But then, it arrived. Today. As soon as it was out of the box, all fears subsided and I was back in awe-mode. There's something about the pose and size of it that can't be done justice with pics. Nevertheless, here are a few from playing around with it earlier today. Although (far) inferior to the prototype, it's safe to say it went from an uncertainty, to being one of the grail pieces in my modest collection.

PS. If you, like me, were wondering; it does fit inside a Bestå cube.
