Anyone here have both the MoS and BvS Superman that could possibly post a comparison shot? I'm curious to see if the BvS version is worth the higher price it's going for.

Sculpt is open for debate I think, but on the whole the BvS version is far better. Suit and cape are probably the biggest improvement.

Sculpt preference and suit design preference of the two is subjective in my opinion. However, I do think the MoS sculpt looks better on the BvS figure than the BvS sculpt looks on the MoS figure. As owning both, here are simply the things that I feel are better on one than the other:

MoS

- better proportions (despite the height)
- slightly better articulation
- arms sit a bit more natural at figure's side

BvS

- better stock cape
- cape seated better at shoulders
- suit has a metallic shine to it
- no mods really necessary

:clap awesome pic.

This is surely the best cape Hot Toys have ever made. Really love how it drapes so perfectly.

Yes....i don't really have MOS to compare.. I have the ChrisReeve Supes. But I prefer this than ChrisReeve cape..

True, it is much better than the CR cape, so much easier to work with.

Its great to have both versions of Superman to display. If WB are successful in getting Matthew Vaughan to direct the next Superman movie in this DCEU I'm super excited for that.

Really interesting to see how he brings Supes story... But I hope he won't turn the impression Zack did and turn it 180°.. It will become a reboot instead...

I see some are already calling a soft reboot. I don't agree with that at all. It's simply the next chapter in his story and I do believe Vaughan is better equipped to tell that story than Snyder. In any walk of life its common for people to be anxious and uncertain when starting out but grow into a more confident assertive version of themselves. That's simply what I expect we'll see with this Superman.

He's been through the growing pains and can now come back much more certain of himself and his place in the world. It's not like they are going to put him back in red underpants or surround him with camp villains. :lol Just a tonal shift to match the more confident, optimistic Superman.

I'm guessing I'm in the minority, but I personally like what Snyder has done with Superman. The man has an eye for visuals and I like Superman's story in this universe. However, if the next Superman installment has a different feel, I wouldn't consider it a reboot in any capacity. As long as it's the same actor, the same Superman, in the same universe and part of the same story arc, then it's simply the next phase of his existence. Similar to how the Russo brothers took over Captain America and the Avengers in the MCU. Their style is much more gritty than any of the other directors in the MCU, but it's still the same characters in the same universe.

:exactly: and I don't think you are in the minority at all. I like what Snyder has done for the most part, I just feel he went a little far in making him to silent and brooding at times. After the disaster that was Superman Returns he had to offer something completely distinct from the Donnerverse and I applaud him for that.

Those that hate MoS and BvS will no doubt see it as a soft reboot with WB bowing to pressure. I think it's simply the natural arc these characters were intended to take. BvS was always meant to be the darkest chapter for Batman and WW as well as Superman, with the end of that movie being the turning point leading into JL.

Superman is likely to be far more sure of his place in the world when we finally see him turn up in JL, while Batman and WW had their faith in this world restored by Superman's actions. Really the end to BvS set up the more hopeful tone the future movies will take. Parts the movie were extremely dark but its final message was one of salvation.

I want to see Superman at the forefront of this DCEU and the Justice League team, not pushed to the background being overshadowed by Batman and the newer DC characters(newer in terms of big screen appearances). I do think Vaughn could deliver that epic Superman movie the majority of fans and critics would love. Fingers crossed WB can get him on board.

I guess I am also hopeful to see a slightly different tone.. what I meant is that they better not turn Supes 180° (for example underwear is back on the outside. XD ). But some change of tone is always welcome to give us fresh enjoyment every new movie.. Fingers crossed and I personally loved MOS and BvS, hope DCEU will do better financially/acceptance by general viewer to keep going so that I continue to enjoy this universe which I come to love..
