Not taken seriously, but rather light-heartedly; simply because it happens all too often. Some noob joins the board just for the purpose of selling something. This board is primarily meant as a discussion board for people with a common interest. The commerce section is something Dave generously put up as a good gesture. Other boards require a fee for this kind of service. You should be grateful.:emperor

You ought to be pissed, at yourself mainly, for taking the LOW road and not reading stickied threads. As a newcomer, you ought to take a little time in familiarising yourself with the board, in order to not make an ass of yourself. You can't expect moderators or members to fill in every newcomer, that happens to post at any time of the day, that they happen to have arrived. Sure, it's an easy mistake, and no one is going to 'call you out'. Alert you, perhaps, in unconventional ways, but even if it does come over as cold, you now know. So let's move on from there.

Do you have an ebay ID or any other forms of verification that you're not a scammer? Otherwise, it's difficult to trust someone who joined the board and is expecting top-dollar for an item.
