I'm really close to buying this figure but always get cold feet when I think that there will be a JL version with an additional heat vision headsculpt. I just want one Superman so I'm not sure. What would you guys do? Thanks!

Personally since the JL figure will be at least a year away from release, and it's HT so could be much longer, I'd buy it. As long as you keep it in mint condition you can easily sell it later and upgrade to the JL version without losing much money at all. Almost like a small loan fee but it's not my money obviously.

I also plan to have just one main version of each JL character, not counting variants like armoured Bats, black suit Supes etc.

The movie is almost a year away from release. The figure probably won't be in hand until late 2018.

The question is if you're willing to wait 2 years for a Superman, or have one right now.

Well, I went ahead and bought a new Exclusive version of the BVS Superman. It just looks really good in every aspect. Who knows how the overall package will be for the JL version? As some have posted it could be 2 years before we actually get anything in hand. I like and know how this BVS version turned out as a final product so I'm happy. Thanks to sj2106 and WhoaItsJBot for their opinions.

Glad you picked one up. It's my joint fave figure alongside the regular Batfleck right now. I might sell mine a couple of months before the JL figure releases, assuming I like the prototype enough, but for now love having him in the cabinet.

That's possible when he's first seen in the movie, and I for one hope we do get that look, but still just speculation. We know he's back to his traditional look by the end of the movie. I believe he can be seen briefly in at least one video they released and he's wearing the red and blue suit in promo pics that is almost identical to the BVS suit.

He will. But also a classic (again a bit different) suit.

That picture looks fake, the lighting isn't consistent and he looks superimposed, not buying it unless there's similar pictures around somewhere.

I just got a case i can finally display one of my figures in and I think I want to display Supes next to Bats but I have some concerns about the stand, after long use does it mark the suit at all? or should I just use a stand from something else?

My MOS Supes ended up with permanent marks and a little peeling of the suit after leaving him on the C clamp for several weeks but plenty of others have reported no long term effects whatsoever. There is no definitive answer. I decided to not take any risks so I'm not using it with my BVS Supes. For one thing I might choose to sell it down the line if future versions are better, I need the figure to hold its value as much as possible.
