Unlikely. The main distributor in the UK, Amerang, is out of stock. But you never know, strange things happen.

Summed up perfectly. Although mine are on display. And then if it's brilliant, am I gonna be looking for better outfits for Han and Luke? Will I need to mod chewy to lighten his face? Will I need to go all Jazzinc on my ANH Vader? But then again, Leia's dress really is bad, too short, shorter slip showing through, horrible drape. Argh. Damn Hot Toys for putting us in this position.

Guess the reverse position is we've paid nearly $300 and just got a headsculpt on some other random 70's wedding dress character's body.

Are there any cheaper custom options - using an old Hasbro/ Sideshow/ Medicom outfit for example? I don't mind Leia particularly, my bugbear is Luke's tunic and that's the route I'll go down when I get around to it.

That very valid reverse position is one poor foothold at the top of the slippery slope to enablement

It's $50 sight unseen. The final coast will be $150. Proto expected in February but the cut-off for the deposit is Jan 20th.

All Hot Toys need to do is release a Leia figure with the same head-sculpt and/or a smiling head-sculpt, a dress made out of the same material as Rogue One Vader's cape, the Death Star plans and to market it as Rogue One Leia and they'll have a figure that will literally sell like hot cakes.

All Hot Toys need to do is release a Leia figure with the same head-sculpt and/or a smiling head-sculpt, a dress made out of the same material as Rogue One Vader's cape, the Death Star plans and to market it as Rogue One Leia and they'll have a figure that will literally sell like hot cakes.

Well it would definitely have a better likeness than the one in the movie.

I personally think they'd be more apt to make a TFA Leia before a R1 Leia. Though merely moving on to a Hoth version ESB Leia seems most likely. I honestly don't think they'll be revisiting this look again any time soon. Could be wrong of course, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Actually on second thought, I'd say a R1 Leia would be more likely before a TFA Leia. Episode VIII comes out this year, so they may be more apt to just move on to a Leia figure from that film, being that by the time a TFA Leia released, it'd be close to Episode VIII anyway. They'd probably recycle a lot from ANH Leia with a R1 Leia, so it'd be easy to make a quick buck on with minimal effort.

However, I still say simply moving on to a Hoth version ESB Leia seems most likely.

A DX ESB Leia (covering everything except Bespin gown) is surely the best figure, the fastest seller, and the best SW fig tribute for fans grieving over CF's death. If they nailed the sculpt like they did with ANH Leia, it would be one of the best 1/6 SW figs of all time.

It would also unlock the door to ESB heroes for HT to do a Han Bespin and new ESB Luke to go with the Yoda. The Snowtrooper and Yoda are surely signs that ESB heroes and ESB Vader can't be far away.

No, I concur. The point was that I merely think a R1 Leia would be more likely than a TFA Leia, given the little amount of work that would need to be put into it and how much it would sell. Same body, yes, same sculpt, yes, just repainted. Maybe an improved dress and of course, different accessories. Do I think it'll happen though? Nope.

I highly doubt a DX ESB Leia will happen, as I personally think the DX line is kaput, unfortunately. I agree it would probably be the best route, but when was the last DX figure?

My gut feeling is the next Leia is going to be a single, ESB Hoth version. Not sure what accessories would come with it though; perhaps the mask she, Chewie and Han were wearing when they were cleaning mynocks off the Falcon?
