Just got through looking back at some of the "Instant purchase!", "This will be mine!", "Day one preorder!" etc etc posts. :lol

I think I said something along the lines of.. "The easiest purchase I'll ever make" How naive we were lol.

As Spike would put it.... Wibble, but who would notice one more mad man around here...

That's just brutal. BRUTAL. Bruuuutal. I'm actually really, really irked. This was the one piece at SDCC that I was really excited for. It looks gorgeous, and he's the one Predator I actually wanted to own. I get prices going up bit by bit (you know, like the $70 price jump from one Stormtrooper to the next in a month earlier this summer,) but this is an INSANE jump.

And for us international customers who have to pay another $50+ on shipping, and then another $100 or so in customs fees PLUS exchange rates? Kick in the teeth.

Like most, I was expecting $500 and thinking, "Okay, I can sort around that, I'm sure..." but this is not even in the orbit of prices that anyone was expecting. I can't say I'm out for sure, because I do love it...but I think I'm 75% out, which is sad, because it would've been an instant PO. I'm sure it'll sell; but it's ridiculous that for $150 more they're just tossing customers aside. This piece would have to come out 100% exactly like the prototype...okay, 95%, in order for it to be worth it on any level. If it ends up with the paint job that the previous Predator LSB had with the stenciled on triangles, then it'd be an instant return.

Oh man, I'm so disappointed. I saw someone post the pictures and price on Facebook and my reaction was disbelief until I saw it for myself...then I turned into Tom Cruise (without the same bank account)

This is pretty much exactly how I feel currently. Although I imagine the shipping will be closer to $80-90 now and the import charges more like $150+ unfortunately.

Yeah...it'll be brutal. I'm honestly not sure what to do. I THINK someone said it had an estimated release date of NEXT November or something, so at least there's time. But at the same time, you can't always just say, "Well I can save the money over time," because it's still that ridiculous amount of money.

I REALLY love this piece though. It's one of those ones that nags at me. Again, the paint would have to be 90% prototype level or above in the end...they can't cut corners here and expect people to continue to take it. It goes on sale tomorrow, and even with the smaller ES, I think it'll take some time to sell. Not sure how much longer, as it's a beauty...but that's a huge chunk of change.

IF I did get this, that may be the end of me and Sideshow for anything outside of Hot Toys, and my two Prime 1 orders. I'm running out of space anyway, but these costs just won't stop. Big Chap was $399.99, and that was last year...that's almost $300 more for this one. Of course, there are loads of details here; but they have to HIT all those marks...ugh...I'm just not sure.

I feel like this LSB is Jonathan Kent and I'm Clark...

Even if it arrived here with distribution, it would still be priced at €700 through retailers.
To make a very very quick comparison, I paid:

€730 for the XM Magneto
€650 for the XM Wolverine
€700 for the Reaper Legendary Scale

These on top of my head are things that I bought in a similar price point, to make a quick comparison.

I don't think I've ever seen this many people disgusted with sideshow over a piece so quickly...

They sure know how to turn a home run into a complete foul.... :slap

Yup. Around $900 for us Brits.
£675! :cuckoo:

. . . . . . . LSB . . . .Shipping . . . . . Tax
USD . . . $650 . . . $60 (guess) . . . N/A
CAD . . . $850 . . . $80 . . . . . . . . .$100

So a total of $950 + $80 shipping for Canadian customers.

That's more than I paid for the 1:1 P1 bust and getting close to what I paid for the 1/4 Winston maquette :lol

I wasn't paying close attention to the title of this thread but I knew it was a Wolf bust. I saw the bust and it looks really good. When I saw the price I thought that's actually a good price for a 1:1 bust. I wasn't clear what all the complaining was all about. As I read the last few pages it dawned on me this is an LSB. I own the first Pred LSB. $650 is insane for this! If I had any interest in the bust I would definitely not purchase.
Many will say that not purchasing will tell SS that there is not market for this or that we will never get another. Well, at this price point it wouldn't be in my collection, so it's as if it was never made.

well i guessed 600 when announced so 650 shipped is pretty much what i figured. i win. or lose actually, depends how you look at it lol :medic

I imagine this will sit for a long time at least up until in hand photos of the product are seen from anyone who orders. Perhaps if they have more inventory than desired they'll offer up coupons and such to sell it.

Damn you sideshow!!!! I am such a huge wolf fan that I am stuck in the ****** position of still having to consider this, despite the horrible price :slap This is ****ing crazy, unless joe dunaway is personally painting each piece(I saw his name under paint)!!! At least I live in the U.S. where it will be $650 delivered (sorry fellow collectors in Canada and U.K.) :gah: :(:gah::gah::thud:
