I honestly never got the whole "too many Gokus" argument. Hes the main character AND has the most variations/transformations, it only makes sense to me that he would receive the most attention, especially now since most important characters now have figures and others just wouldnt sell well.

Couldn't agree more. Goku is, without a doubt, the flagship character. The profit from his releases, which sell really well, could potentially be used to increase the budget on future releases of Goku and other characters.

I still don't understand the reasoning behind Tamashii Nation's decision on the Galeria/SDCC 2015 Frieza Saga Goku.

They can do Goku until the cows come home... just give me SSJ2...

Tamashii Nations is planning for a back-to-back month Super Saiyan 2 Goku/Majin Vegeta release. I just have a feeling that's what they have planned in the future. I still haven't seen a customized Super Saiyan 2 hair sculpt that I truly like.

They keep dancing around the most underappreciated form of Goku. I'm glad to see it coming back in Super since I think Goku fights Black Goku with it. I saw a gif of it on FB.

I wouldn't consider it the most underappreciated form of Goku but it became "public knowledge" that it wasn't his most powerful form within a few episodes. The Goku/Majin Vegeta fight was great but knowing that Goku was able to transform into Super Saiyan 3 undermined "the significance" of Vegeta's decision to unlock his true evil intentions in order to defeat Goku.

I still wish we would have been able to see some sort of reaction from Vegeta when Goku revealed the Super Saiyan 3 transformation.

Going back to Super, how annoyed do we think Trunks will be when he realizes Goku and Vegeta both have a form far beyond ssj3, and that Goku doesnt use it to immediately wipe out black, probably causing him to be able to flee or even causing Goku to get his backside handed to him?

My guess is very, just because Trunks knows the damage black has caused and Goku likely just wants to have fun as usual.

It depends if Goku has learned anything since his fight with Golden Frieza. I don't think Goku will take Black lightly from the get-go after knowing that he's the one who destroyed Trunks' future. I imagine Vegeta is going to get hotheaded after Black makes a comment about killing Future Bulma. There's going to be more to this story than we think...or at least I'm hoping that there will be.

I dont think he is the God of destruction, as crazy as this sounds I think he may be a "canon" time patroller, created by Zumasu (who may well be the supreme kai of time) to set right Trunks time, since they set up that altering history is a serious criminal offense, and black is correcting the timeline by wiping out Earth "as it should be"

1 - The Kaiou-ken X 3 Son Goku that gets super ripped when he battles Bejita for the first time.

2 - Super Saiya-Jin 1 Son Goku when he loses his shirt and is super muscular with battle damage against Furiza.

3 - 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai Son Goku when he finally defeated Piccolo. Waited clothes or battle damaged at the end, doesn't matter.

I can think of like 5 more but these are my top 3.

Yes to all 3 for me. My Top 3 would be...

1.) Super Saiyan 4 Goku is my "ultimate goal" for the character so that's a given.

Oh yeah. There is a place in the collection for all versions of Goku. Tell me if you feel the same way but to me the only difference between Goku at the end of Dragon Ball and Goku against Raditsu is his height. I always thought Goku was not a full grown adult yet when he fought Ma Junior.

The way i see it, by going back in time, Trunks gained knowledge and power to do what he almost certainly wouldnt have been able to do on his own; kill the androids. He altered time by doing so. Its the same as many of the xenoverse changes honestly, only we dont see it as such because it was a "good" change

If my theory is correct, our Earth may well have been next on blacks list anyway.

That is true, what he does in the past doesnt affect his time, but what im saying is that he learns how to change events in his time through his travels back to the main timeline.

Theres no way he could have gained ascended saiyan level without the help of the past and he would have likely been killed in trying. The "alternate" future is even worse because he brings the damn remote back to deacticate the androids which he would NEVER have figured out how to make in his time.

All im saying is that his future was already doomed, as were ALL futures in that timeline, and he changed them all in one way or another, directly (our time) or indirectly (his time). Thats a pretty big change in the grande scheme of time being altered imo!

It's seriously stupid that in dbz the time travel was explicitely the 'hopping dimension' variety and now it's suddenly within the same timeline. Whis already introduced time travel that resets the same timeline.

Really like Trunks reaches full ssj2 though and just wipes out dabura and babidi. At least that long standing question regarding buu in his timeline is now answered.

I hope black goku is something even remotely cool. Otherwise it's yet another cool design wasted. One of the coolest yet actually imo.

Well, he's going to retail for $70 for those able to get him in person at SDCC. I don't see him going too much higher on the aftermarket. Maybe $90 -100? His nowhere as hyped as last year's Goku.

I'm fine with that actually. I just see "pre-orders" on eBay going for $150+ (yikes). No way paying that much lol.
