Hot Toys – MMS 293 & 294 Batman Returns: Batman and Bruce Wayne (Keaton) Set
So, my LCS got the Tweeterhead Catwoman in stock. I had an employee place this Batman next to it for scale comparison. They look awesome together! I feel silly that I didn't take a photo, but I immediately put Catwoman on layaway! Now I'm gonna need another Bats to display her with (my current Bats is going to sport DoggieDoc's glider).

I got her. Haven't had a chance to post pics with Bats but will soon. But yup, they look great together. You'll be happy with her when you pick her up.

Saw this figure in person yesterday at a comic shop in NY. Cape was horribly futzed of course but the figure looked nice. Keaton sculpt was slightly better than some of the photos but still a little bit meh.

Officially bought my first Hot toys fig today. Been waiting for this figure. Won't be buying anything for awhile now.

Congratulations! You're going to love him! I collected action figures for decades before I bought my first Hot Toys fig (1989 Batman), and I've never had more fun with this hobby. The likeness is unreal.

Be careful. This hobby is addictive. I got into collecting the Batman figures when they first solicited '89 Batman and Joker. For some reason, I couldn't wait for those to be my first, and bought a Bale Batman to tide me over. Now I have all the Batman figures save the original Joker DX (which I'd still like to get some day for that Honor Guard Joker figure), and both Batman and Armored Batman on pre-order...

I want to thank this forum for convincing me that the only sensible thing to do was to pick up both the Returns and 89' Bats'. They are equally as stunning and vary enough to warrant having both versions, at least for me personally. I didn't find the capes to be as cumbersome as many suggest and got them to look decent enough without much futzing. The Batman Returns thankfully came in its box immaculately, without any of the mentioned issues like scratches on the cowl, wrinkles in the suit, or broken gauntlet blades. The material on the Returns Batman feels very soft and smooth, whereas 89' has a coarse texture that isn't as easily malleable. I picked up 89' Bat's a few weeks ago second hand and it did not include the box or any accessories included. Luckily, the grapple hook and other magnetic accessories attach to 89's belt as well. The experience of opening up a new Hot Toys is freaking awesome! I can't recommend this figure enough and as of now, I prefer the Returns over the 89'. Though if you can find both they definitely compliment each other nicely.

Excellent, whydraft2!! Your first pic in the Detolf looks almost exactly how I have mine, down to the programmable Batarang in Batman's right hand! "Great minds..."
I gotta ask though: where did you get that slick background and what lighting/effects are you using in the second pic? Love it!

Thanks, Mike. To tell you the truth, I had abandoned the Keaton sculpt out of the box, and it wasn't until today I realized it looks so much better under some lighting. If you want it, go for it. But realize, out of the box you may be underwhelmed. I think HT sculpted the likeness well enough that Keaton's features look better under some lights.

Anyone else getting a white powdery substance on the suit? Not to cause panic, just asking, but I hope this won't cause problems in the long run. I remember my DX09 having the same stuff during its first few months of display which eventually stopped happening and my DX09's suit is still good as new to date. The 2 suits are of different material though, so here's to hoping.

I've had no such issues with either figure. Maybe it's the environment they're in (dust, heat, lighting, low humidity, etc.)
If you're in a construction area, it could be drywall dust.
Or, if they're in the same detolf with Scarface, maybe they're getting they're "Bat-Dance" on at night.
Either way, others in this thread have suggested that Armor-All wipes for leather car seats work great for cleaning these suits.
