I don't think ANH or any of the SW movies are 'great' movies. Not on the level of ones like 2001 and The Godfather. The fandom of SW is what's great. Just look at the box office of TFA. Avatar will still be worldwide box office king, but no body talks about that movie anymore except when referencing its box office.
I think the fandom, of anything, is the death of the stuff they're fans of :lol I can't think of a single fandom of stuff below 2001 or the Godfather, like DC, Marvel, SW, and other pulpy stuff, that isn't complete ****.

With their respective exceptions though, like this place, is full of exceptions, but you go to facebook-type websites and wooho boy, the worst of the worst.

I thought MOS was good, with the exception of a few things and and a few scenes. It lacked humor, and that's probably one of the reasons people don't consider it a fun film. I get it, but MOS was the right film for me, and gave me what I was looking for in a Superman film. It was a science fiction film. I liked the the approach they took with Clark because it was bit more believable, imo. Superman isn't perfect and Clark has trouble dealing with the fact that he's not human. One of my favorite scenes was when he discovers the X-ray vision. It could have been a humorous scene like in Smallville with Clark looking at girls, but instead they took a different approach, a bit more realistic, imo.

See, on paper, that scene works for me, but watching it, I just found everything to be extremely cliche and poorly shot. Even the fact that the children were all in the hallway with the teacher while Clarke locked himself in the room was always ridiculous to me, then Clarke hearing some of the kids whispering about him being a being a freak, the way it's shot just felt amateur.

The whole dark and gritty Superman I have no problem with, but the performances and dialogue just clash with the tone the movie is going for. One of the most jarring scenes to me was Superman catching Lois who conveniently was the only person that survived that plane explosion, and then she and Superman have a nice kissing scene while they're standing in a big hole where probably hundreds of people just died. To me, thats Marvel quality filmmaking right there, except it stands out even more because the tone is supposed to be a lot more serious.

Wow, that whole discussion was pretty sad.
Here are my thoughts.

Man of Steel was garbage.

This movie will be garbage.

Is Khev the new me, but in regards to TFA? Seems like it.

A few people think they are so high class in regards for there taste in movies. Some think they are better than others for what they like. I could be wrong of course.

To many little "clicks" on this site. Congratulations for being liked on the internet.

It's cliques, not clicks. And yes, it feels good to be well liked in a community like this as opposed to being viewed as a pest or an annoyance. It's fun posting these kind of things with Khev, Evilface, Jye, Batfan, Gaspar, ClownPrince, Yankee, pturtle, Riddick, and a-dev year after year.

My mistake, clicked the wrong click when I should of clicked the correct "clique." Typing to fast on my Ipad.

Wasn't really referring to you, but since you responded it must have struck a nerve? I mean, if you feel the need to prop yourself up and talk down to me about having friends on a toy site and being liked on a toy site, that is great. I really don't care if people like me or hate me here or in the real world. Not my style to bend over backwards for a few green bars and be virtual friends with people I will never meet. Might sound cold, but its the truth (note, not accusing you of doing this).

I think I unfortunately managed to make each and every one of those people mad at one time or the other with something I said :lol:lol Sorry bout that, but if they view me as a pest Difabio..... I really don't care.

You remind me of myself when I first joined here in 09. You need to stop arguing with them and joke with them. Don't get offended or upset but brush it off as " I don't care I don't really know these guys".

Yea they have certain cliques and somtimes people get smart and you get smart back but you shouldn't always argue with them. Let loose and chill man, and stop bringing attention to yourself by acting bothered.

I think I've reached Riddick level of Nirvana, I've stopped caring whether people hate or praise a certain something, I in fact enjoy reading opposite sides and I almost never feel compelled to counter an opinion in basis of pure disagreement, in fact, I think the only thing that bothers me is people complaining about the complaints. lol
That's the spirit! :yess:

Pretty sure this kid plays Lil Wayne on Gotham.

Kinda cool, even though he'll never play Bats. Unless Heller, et al. get desperate.

Hopefully he gets around to buying BB.

Old Khev, New Khev...

:lol

:lol

I don't know, I picture that encounter going more like this...with Jye as Catwoman showing up at the end :monkey3 :lol

Clown, the other day I went to my wife… I said, ‘You know I’d like a little *****.’ She said, ‘Me too, mine’s as big as a house!

Nah, more like this.

Jye: "MMMM BOYS, DiFabio meets Khev, ahhh, I LOVE IT. I love bringing people together."

:lol

Nothing better!

Well, maybe taking a dip in the canal is slightly more fun. My wife and her weekly deposits, sheesh.

This thread just keeps on giving. Imagine if CelticPredator was still here... :lol
