Thats because BBTS is the third reich [emoji38]

Everyone lately is attacking anime island, and im sitting here wondering why BBTS doesnt get the same treatment. I havent once seen anything on BBTS that wasnt cheaper or easier to get elsewhere. I am pretty much guaranteed a customs charge if using them because of their practices, and dont get me started on their "collector grade" BS.

No other company charges more to ensure a package is protected, mines is always well wrapped elsewhere.

Anyway, I wont be using anime island anymore either, not because they have done anything to me, but because Nippon is just better for me in terms of shipping time and price (thanks Tin ;) )

This is the first I've seen Anime Island get trashed, outside of me saying it. Their CS was pretty ****** to me, ignoring messages and they ended up keeping the shipping cost... **** them.

The problem with BBTS is that only some of you guys have been getting bad stuff, but some of us, namely Plissken and I, did not. BBTS isn't shady, or unreliable, and their mark ups are only due to the import fees and stuff because they're an American dealer, exclusivity or other issues. You guys just didn't really listen :dunno plus, some of the BBTS complaints are specific to some of you. Deano I get that you get a customs charge and that it sucks, but other people get it from other sites too, and it doesn't drive them up a wall. The collector grade thing isn't that bad, from what blood showed and without it, BBTS packaging is still very safe.

And Pliss is also right on Anime Island here, you guys never bashed it once even after the things said.

We've been trashing them for a while now lol, you must've missed some of the posts! Just yesterday they sent me an email saying that I need to pay the remainder of some of the stuff I preordered. I always pay for my pre-orders in full so now I have to email them about that :gah:

Thankfully after this specific order of mine is complete I'm done with them and I will never have to deal with their **** again. It's Toyz and eBay from now on.

Quite amazing how so many people's opinion of anime island has shifted so dramatically in such a short period of time. A short time ago everyone would have been singing their praises. I've personally recommended them to multiple people, but not anymore. These latest pre-orders have been seriously bungled. They sent me a wonderfully snippy email saying, "This is not shoddy customer service on our part. We have over 10,000 orders and this only happens a handful of times every year." Um, okay...

I think Pliss was referring to this whole period of it, with Awakening Goku and the other recent figures.

I never trusted anime island, some of the prices seemed too good to be true, some of the pics etc. and friends told me as well

My point is FSLAR that, true customs charges technically arent their fault, BUT a simple ask from other stores to put it down as a gift solves that issue, BBTS deliberately ADDS value to it costing the customer more in charges. Covers their backside (they get more back if lost) but shafts the consumer, that isnt good practice, sorry.

I mean they are legit in that they aren't scammers. It's just that their turn around time and service sucks Dragonballs. If they improved their customer service, kept better track of orders, and allocated their shipments correctly so that orders aren't delayed by weeks and even months, then they'd be good. They do have the cheapest prices but it just ain't worth the trouble when other stores are slightly more but over 9000 times more reliable.

Well that's enlightening. I haven't kept as close an eye to the thread as much as the rest of you guys, but it feels better to not feel like I'm on my own island anymore :lol

No pun intended.

I'd rather pay slightly inflated prices with BBTS, to know that if something comes messed up, they have great CS. I've dealt with them for about 5 years now and have no issues in getting help from them.

With BBTS it's not that they're bad (aside from a few bad experiences). It's that there's always a cheaper option so why pay more when you can pay less?

I just really like BBTS since it's no money down, cancel at any time. I like having that security in backing out in case of a financial crisis.

Maybe they can't do that? I don't really know what you're talking about with gift, cause from what I hear, that's not really a fine procedure. Nipon does that and from what I see, it's not good at all. Shafting consumer? I feel like you and prodigy have very one sided experiences that were rare. :dunno especially because....

Yeah I've never had a problem too. they respond pretty quick and helped me out a few times. I think when I ordered my D-arts Blastoise, there was a problem and they helped out. They answered a load of my questions too, and were helpful all around.

Even then, I've compared some prices, and they aren't that bloated at all. BBTS's DBZ prices are all comparable to Barnes and Nobles.

Some prices can be weirdly priced high, while most lines I'm involved with aren't really any different then other retailers. $5 more isn't going to put me out in the street.
