Didn't they knock the 1/6 Deadpool out of the park? My 1/6 R2 is great too, and I thought Snake got a bad rap. Would have got the 1/6 Indy, but Irish Jedi sold me the Pursuit piece, so that's my representation there. Seen some clunkers too, just don't see any reason to write this off at this stage.

I don't think Deadpool is a great figure. It's better than previous SS figures, but that's not saying much. Don't get me wrong he's nice, but needs some work. Deadpool should have been priced at $200-$220 at best. R2 looks nice, but he does feel fragile and has issues. I'll agree that Snake got a bad rap, but his price wasn't anywhere near the cost of recent SS offerings and he can be had for under MSRP.

HT and SS charge what they think they can get and turn a profit; good for them. I don't buy a lot of HT or SS product anymore because of price. This hobby is a luxury that's hitting the ceiling for me as far as comfort spending goes.

I am one of those people that sees the quality in what HT ships out and can see why they would cost more; not that I agree or pay. I haven't bought a HT figure in a long time, so I don't know if physical quality is still good. Visually, they look great. SS, on the other hand, delivers okay to subpar quality pieces and keeps increasing their prices. I don't claim to know the ins and outs of this business. I'm just speaking for myself as a consumer who hasn't felt he's getting a "bang for his buck" from SS.

I want this figure, but as it stands will wait for it to be discounted. If it is, than great. If it isn't, oh well. If it sells out and I don't get, oh well.

yeah, collecting almost anything these days is like asking for an arm and a leg.Definitely gets harder when the prices continue to creep up,but apparently 1/6 scale is extremely popular these days and that the higher prices are going away anytime soon

I'm disappointed with the price and the lack of accessories, but I'll probably pick this up in the future once it's been discounted.

SSC used to be good at 'bang for the buck'. Opening that $240 Deluxe Vader with a crapload of hands, extra helmet pieces and display stand. That felt like a value. The accuracy or lack thereof was overshadowed by the value of the set.

Now Ash is just the figure and a few extra hands. . . . I mean, yeah, Ash only has one hand so their hands are a bit tied. But they really need to throw more in there, this is like the Indiana Jones that doesn't even come with a jacket because it's "movie specific". . . that's no excuse.

This is why I don't like when they try to explain price increases, because ultimately whatever they come up with is proven false and it makes them look like liars. To me, this looks more like SSC has wider distribution now, stores like ThinkGeek are having 30% off sales, SSC is always giving out $20 off coupons, so now their MSRP reflects a discount percentage. Like, no one ever buys anything at Bed, Bath & Beyond without a 20% off coupon in hand. So, their in-store prices are 20% higher than they would be otherwise, to off-set that coupon. You have the same principle here. Just wait until there's a sale at ThinkGeek or wherever else and pick this guy up for the more reasonable $180.

Let's all gather later this year and see how the sculpt turns out!
EXPECTED TO SHIP: Oct 2016 - Dec 2016
I'm guessing nothing like the prototype !

Theres something off about his face. I dunno can't pinpoint it but it kinda looks like campbell but also kinda doesn't lol. I think this being the prototype we're looking at another drake, snake plissken figure, looks somewhat good in the prototype pics but then the actual released product is not up to scratch. I think i'll wait till the figure is in hand of others before making a decision. It is evil dead after all and how often do we get releases in 1/6th scale from those films.

U just described ssc entire business motto.

Need to stop buying so prices come back down... but I keep coming up with excuses to buy them. Just like you guys it seems.

Sadly, prices aren't going to come down, no matter how much we vote with our wallets.

You are talking about getting thousands of people around the world to get on the same page hahahaha this is hilarious. Here's two facts prices will go up and you will die one day. I guarantee it

I really wanted this too but the price is making me hesitate. The funny thing is, a lot of the military stuff looks way better than this for half the price. Its not like the materials used to make them are different. It must be the license or because they are "real" characters the feel they can charge so much.

Just saw this on Facebook.
