IS this a joke? Lmaoo I hope so, cause they were announced last week.

I was figuring it was a joke as well... but it's easy to loose track of all these bs re-issues.

And honestly the fact they would re-issue this bust and "potentially" improve the helmet is just a huge FU to collectors like myself who paid full retail years ago for the original. Despite the inaccuracies I was willing to pay out the nose for what I thought would be a definitive piece in my collection.

Now years later they undercut the value of the piece even more by releasing a seemingly more accurate Vader; what the ****.

Hahaha...amused by the blatant, double-dippin' shadiness of this release. Sideshow isn't even bothering to change out the chest piece to the Ep. IV version or something different. What a semi-rigid tubesnake slap in the face...

I'm not an owner of the original release (yet), but having the Shaw head as a display option still makes the first one more desirable, IMHO.

I can't see any difference between this and the last piece and I'm confident by the fact Sideshow is too damn lazy to change anything :lol

Although I will be getting this LSB as I missed out on the first I can understand the frustration of those who picked up the original. Every company revisits characters but with what looks like minimal changes and lots of the statues related to an IP with a spotlight on it this move really does seem like a short term play that will turn off some of those who forked over after market prices for the original.

I will actually get this. Having the option to display the portrait was a nice touch but i would of never displayed it since it was hit or miss with the crooked eyes. This on the other hand is perfect, just classic Vader! Tho I would think $800 would of been a more apropriate price for a non portrait Vader.

In 5-6 years SSC will again release a new 1:1 Vader bust, but this time he is looking not right or left, but up. And thus a "new" bust is born :lol

That is actually very accurate for Sebastian Shaw.

I need to get some fake eyebrows for my Shaw portrait :lol

I wonder if this helmet will come apart like the original and have the internal details? I assume it will still ship in separate pieces, but if all the internals are missing that's really not a very good deal considering it's only $200 less than the original.

Either way I'm still highly annoyed by Sideshow's recent antics, but it makes avoiding their disappointing products that much easier.

A lot of hate for Sideshow right now over this piece. I like it. Looks very movie accurate to my eyes; more so than the original and a decent price given its 1:1. I'm on board.

If you want accurate then go for a helmet like EFX ANH Vader helmet. Sideshow is known for their "artistic interpretation", so this could be a tad more accurate than the previous version, but still not enough compared to what Vader looks like.

ss will be milking this for a long time given the star war hype. There is no ex and no ES, this will be on sale forever. Wait for release and grab it off retailer or eBay for at least 20% haircut. 1:1 busts tend to lose a significant amount of their retail price immediately after release due to their high cost and limited market that buys them. And this one is anything but small ES, so just wait.

I am numb to sideshow's reissue bs for a long time, so it doesn't bother me anymore, it's your money not sideshow, only you can choose to waste it on them.

Being more interested in proper accuracy I never really cared about 1:1 SSC busts. I only have their first Vader and is enough. This will go for ages, for sure, especially since it is rumored we'll have Vader in Rogue One.

Your obviously not that interested in accuracy if you're admitting you have their original version which looked well off...even by my casual eye.
